EXCLUSIVE: Special PUP's for DEX conversion users released

It has only been just over a week since the big CEX to DEX leak, and more and more tools keep appearing, and today an old-time 'scener' group contacted us here at Crunch HQ to share with us some neat PS3 DEX PUP's to make more usage the CEX to DEX conversion.

Proudly presenting these special pups here for dex users... got a dex but cant get tools to use the thing? for example newer BD emu tools and such. well dont fret. i included a set of firmwares here that will take away the pain. once you run the first pup it will convert your box to a "retail" box. you can then install rebug kmeaw etc etc. if you ever want to go back to DEX (debug) then just run the second pup that came with it and viola back to debug. also this all only works on 3.55. kthnxbai.

For those running DEX higher then v3.55, you might also need this special 'downgrade' DEX pup to re-enable the feature on your converted DEX machine to go back to any lower version of firmware file. -- It only needs to be run once, and then you can install the normal 3.55 DEX PUP afterwards.

Downgrade DEX PUP: --> 4.20 DEX Downgrader (8.83mb) via PS3SceneFiles

For those wishing to upgrade to the latest in DEX firmware, here is the 4.20 PUP, but remember it still will not give you access to PSN side of the PS3 world

No, this release just enables you to do back and forth from DEBUG to CEX (retail) any time you wish, without reformatting or losing any files, etc.

But later this after, I will add links to first post with some more goodies, once the download site is fixed up, we had some 404 problems earlier today!

yes i am useing his pup now but the 4.20 downgrader one you posted would be great. if it were patched.

Sadly nothing but 3.55 DEX's can be patched yet. -- It is back to the issue of having 'private keys' for signing the changes, even tho the rules have changed a bit from going from CEX to DEX, the actual 'key/signing/encryption' system is still there, just like before on the retail consoles.

Remember it will NOT give you access to the PSN side of the PS3, so not very useful, just there for your enjoyment of having the latest firmware!

Someone explains to me what are these files pup? Or misunderstood or you can now easily convert dex and play all of your backup 3.60+ ?

And the file pup of the downgrade allows you to downgrade from 4.20 to 3.55 without flasher?
