ps3 Getting Playstation 2 Software Emulator working

Getting Playstation 2 Software Emulator working

Method (on Firmware 3.55, without! Cobra-USB Dongle or Downgrade) for all consoles (fat & slim).

    1. Replace following files on your consoles /dev_flash/ with the ones included in this archive p3dwik-ps2compatfiles.rar
    2. Get into Factory Service Mode (FSM Tool/Dongle)
    3. Insert your Original PS2 Game Disc
    4. It will run.

Note: Backups wont work. You're getting the compatibility of the 2.60 software emulator with all of its bugs
    Download: p3dwik-ps2compatfiles.rar

    Possible compatibility Lists:

    This is very old news.

The soft PS2 was included in the firmware 2.60 by Sony.

It only runs a few games.

Cobra took this, and disassembled it, and rewrote it to handle more games, and included all the patches to make it work without the need of switching to Factory Service mode, which by the way, can in most cases wipe out your Blu-Ray movie playback, so really not worth the risk for just a few titles that is barely plays.

It just proves at one time Sony was thinking of including full emulation PS2 in their firmware, instead they opt-out to reissue the classic PS2 games for MONEY on the PSN using a re-compile engine, offering on some of them a little better graphics, all tho it could have all be included in the firmware if they really cared about the end-user.
