naehrwert has released yet another update for his SCETool, this time fixing minor bugs where the app would crash.

If you didn't know, SCETool by naehrwert is a PS3 key crypto tool that supports a wide range of binary file types (SELF, RVK, PKG, SPP, OTHER).

Includes GUI and data support files with keys up to 3.60.

Here's what's new on Version 0.2.7:

- Added local NP license handling.
- Added option to override klicensee.
- Added option to disable section skipping (in SELF generation).

Just a few days have passed since the above update for this app, and now, he's back with another one, fixing some nasty bugs that caused the app to crash, along a couple of neat additions/improvements:

Changelog 0.2.8 (intermediate release):

- Fixed minor bugs where scetool would crash.
- Added SPP parsing.
- Decrypting RVK/SPP will now write header+data to file.

Question: Can i use scetool to convert retail self to elf and elf to debug self?
If yes can you explain how?


I tried using 3.41 keys revision 08 but it didn't work
Should i use 0.96 keys?

BTW peeps - remember to download zlib.dll otherwise the program will error out.
