eEID_RKDumper (from GameOS) released!

Another fine release from flat_z!



With this one, you can ger the eid_root_key from 3.55 GameOS in a matter of seconds, without Linux!

eEID_RKDumper by flatz allows you to dump your console's eid_root_key from 3.55 GameOS, meaning that you DON'T need OtherOS anymore to get it!

From the official Readme file:

Howto

• install package and run it
• It will then black screen (no GUI) and restart the console automatically
• FTP (other otherwise) retrieve your eid_root_key / PCK1 from /dev_hdd0/tmp/eid_root_key

Thank you GaryOpa flat_z had hinted me this about week ago and i had hinted it here also.
This is a great tool for any one who want to convert his console to DEX anyway

Does not work with TB v2.7 guessing it requires peek and poke

I can confirm that it works flawless on rebug and kmeaw..
Linux key is identical to the key dumped by the pkg ..

i just got the beeps and had to restart my ps3 by pulling the wire out form the back still got me a eid_root_key though which does not work

was using rebug firmware rebug menu and rebug xmb

so what i did was run multiman and then run the pkg and it worked

Before start the eEID_RKDumper from XMB, remove ALL your USB devices.
Otherwise, it will freeze in a black screen and you will have to unplug the power cord from the PS3 (or turn it off using the power switch in back of the PS3 phat).

the reason it was not working was i think the peek poke etc had to be set and it was not and multiman sets it

Me too i had talked to flatZ 2 weeks ago before he releasing this tools and i asked him for a permission to publish this news and he allowed me to do that.
Also after this great release i talked to him to update this tools to be able to full convert our consoles to DEXs by dumping our eEID Root Key and Flash then modifying it then flash it back or at lest just mod it without need to use C2D tools, but he was so busy working in another great tool for "PSN Games" so this is another hint
Maybe soon it'll come
But since i did not asked him for a permission to publish more info about it i can not say more than this right now.
