Metal Gear Solid 4 and the Trophy Update?

would anyone happen to know if the new trophy update to MGS4 (which everyone has been asking for since... ever) requires the latest OFW, or if it's one of those rare updates that isn't signed to run with the newest FW only, I normally would just update MGS4 to see for myself, but I'm house sitting for my in-laws and watching 3 young children, whom (because of the in-laws wishes which I'll abide by) don't want them exposed to M rated games, and without my PS3 and will be without it for a while.

To be honest, I don't even pay attention to the Trophies/Achievements features at all, regardless of what game I play (only exception to that is Mirror's Edge)!
