Great work on these emulators. Was very happy to see Sega CD support added.
I was wondering if it was possible to make the emulators as a stand alone pkg. For example, extract the genesis emulator out of retroarch and make it run off xmb by itself? That way you don't have to keep switching the cores and can have each core stand alone.

Thanks for the great app. Love playing old games.
Go to mmOS, go to the SSNE1000 folder on your harddrive, go to the 'cores' dir and start up genesis_plus_gx.SELF - problem solved.
Perhaps Deank can make a shortcut menu somewhere on mmOS for this very purpose.
Well I actually added an "Emulators" folder to the desktop, where you have all the shortcuts to the emulator cores, but for some reason it didn't work (black screen). I thought it was something with the parameters that are passed to the cores. Is there anything specific?
Can someone test it?
Go to the folder with the cores, select a core, press [O] -> Create shortcut... It will be placed on the desktop. Try to launch the core from the desktop shortcut.

That is not really problem solved. That is going through another app to get the app that I want to use. That is more steps than using retroarch. But hey, if you do not want to release them as standalone pkgs I guess I have to live with it.
Still great work. I am not trying to devalue your work and the progress made. In fact, I appreciate your hard work and continued support.
Just a little annoyance to work with. Have to reset the app every time you want to switch core for different systems. Other than that, it works very nice.
It's all very good in this version, good stability! Congratulations once again twinaphex, themaister, deank, toadking and everyone involved in the project. I missed the shader crt.cg / crtcurved.cg mainly for fba-libreto. Now Deank a suggestion: you could update the names of emus to show the retro column for example RetroArch: fba-libreto / vba-next / Genesis Plus GX-/ fceu-next / snes9x-next ... what do you think? thank you!

Thanks.
In case you didn't know - none of the filepaths in RetroArch are hardcoded.
If you really want to do this - nothing is stopping you from copying the SSNE1000 folder, naming it something differently, removing the retroarch.cfg file and then removing all the cores except for the one you want to use. Then you make a custom icon for that and voila - your very own standalone emulator.
Don't expect Multiman ROM launching to work with this standalone emu though.
deank re: RetroArch Emulator Cores and Executing Them via mmOS
I get the same error as well, and then I had to restart the PS3 because of the console getting stuck at the black screen!

On a old-school CRT TV (21" Panasonic TV) that I have at home, when I launch Sonic The Hedgehog (UE) (Sega Master System), I tend to have distorted audio when the emulator is set to the 720x576 resolution on that said TV, and due to the TV's limitations (the TV only being able to display anything in black and white in 720x480), I can't change the resolution - is there a workaround besides toggling the "Throttling" settings in-game or a fix available or on the cards?

576i/p is a PAL resolution - the distorted audio is because the game is trying to run at 60Hz but your TV signal is 50Hz - hence leading to slowdown/bad audio.
I will introduce a temporal PAL mode option that will get around this problem - it's provided by Sony in the SDK and it lets you play 60Hz games on a 50Hz TV set without losing any speed or having to resync the game - the only disadvantage is that you might notice some motion blurring being applied.
If your TV shows a 480i picture in black-and-white - it either means your TV doesn't support the NTSC signal or that you need to use an RGB SCART cable/PAL to NTSC converter cable.

If any parameters are passed, then it assumes that you're trying to 'dial a ROM' - ie. directly load a ROM from Multiman.
You would have to selfspawn the emulator SELFs without any arguments - that could get around the problem.
