Possible to transfer GBA save file from PSP to PS3?

Hi guys, how's everyone doing? I have jury duty today so I'm going to be sitting around playing my gba games on my psp. Just wanted to ask, is there any way to transfer gba game saves from my psp to my ps3 and vice versa? Never actually tried it and I'm also wondering if it's possible for other emulated systems such as SNES, etc. If so, how do you do it? Thanks a lot.

With SNES emulators, if the ROM/Game uses SRAM for saving then the .SRM file is normally compatible between emulators / platforms.
Save states are not universal and are different depending on the emulator and version.
(For example, the current Snes9x for the PC and Snes9x-next PS3 are based on different versions and the Savestates are not compatible with each other)

I would have thought GBA would be the same.

Thank you for that. Yea I'm not concerned about save states, just the actual save files. Thanks again!

Look for them in rom dir or specific emulator dir or "unpack" from ram dump (aka save state). Common extension name is *.sav.
