I've been a long time follower but decided to sign up to post this as there doesn't seem to be any real feedback online anywhere regarding mmDM.

Im running mmDM 2.01 on Windows Server 2008 and using MM 4.05.04 with Rogero 3.55 DEX.
Everything appears to be setup and working fine, Prodg connects and works with the PS3, DM mounts ok too.
When in multiman, none of the games (or mounted game?) show up. I'm not even sure if the whole list should be visible as I havent seen anything yet.
When checking /net_host0 in the filemanger the whole drive in which the games are on is mounted.

So my local drive H:\ which has a GAMEZ folder and a few others.
The file server dir (app_home) is mounting Z:\ (some times when in the XMB the mounted game is visible)

I've tried using different drive letters, moving game folders from within GAMEZ to the root of H:\ (and obviously changing this accordingly) but nothing worked.
My last attempt was to remove everything and start fresh, which ended in the exact same result.

Since I haven't heard about anyone elses attempts, I hope you dont mind my feedback here.

Again, I really appreciate your hard work with these awesome apps
I had the problem too where my games would not show up in MM. The solution was to name the root folder, folder where all your games are located, to "GAMES". I see you said your root folder is "GAMEZ" with a "Z", try renaming that folder to "GAMES" with an "S" and see if that works. I had the same problem, like I said, where MM would not list the games and that was the simple solution Another thing, don't worry about your local drive letter being H:\ and the Virtual Drive created by mmDM for app_home being Z:\. As long as you have selected your "GAMES" folder as the directory of choice from within mmDM, the software will do the rest. Hope this helps.

@Dean, so using DEX 3.55 CFW allows all the same benefits as CEX? I read a post somewhere that DEX consoles can't load games from internal. I'm guessing since you just stated that they can, I was misinformed.

3.55DEX with peek/poke (like rogero's version) is almost the same as the regular 3.55 and games work from int/ext.

Ok thanks for clearing that up.
So if I go back to 4.21 dex, can the 3.55 games be "converted" too? I'm not all that keen on hopping between firmwares.
    Also,

-Works for 00.92-03.60 DISC game backups
-Works for 03.70-04.20 DISC game backups with 03.55FW patched disc eboot/self/sprx files (not PSN/pkg patches)

From what I understand, the 3.70+ games require the 3.55FW patch. So whats the point of using this, when you can be on 3.55 in the first place?
Or is this more aimed at getting the large ammount of 3.70+ games working that dont have fixes?

    Thanks again

    Thank you so much, Deank.

Do you know if there's an updated tutorial to play 4.xx backups with all these tools, too?

Yes, but can we strictly use an internal HDD now for all of our PS3 needs? Don't we still need a USB HDD for playing DEX games or does aldostools mmDM now allow the playing of all games(CFW & DEX) from internal HDD? If so, that's what I'm looking for.

I have a 500 GB internal HDD & want to play all of my games straight from it & not need to go out & buy another USB HDD. This is the main reason why I still hadn't converted to DEX yet. I want internal HDD option for both CEX & DEX games. Is this possible now with DEX Game Mounter? Thanks!

This isn't strictly true - if the pkg's, eboots, self's, or any files are encrypted with keys greater than 3.60, then you will encounter an error, and those games will not be playable via LAN. Your only option is to run them on 3.55 as per usual. Many of the latest fixes will not work

    Ok, i must be missing something here so i've decided to ask instead of beating my head against a wall. I'm currently on ROGERO 3.55DEX and will upgrading in a moment to 4.21DEX possibly. What i would like to know is this;

1.) With 3.55DEX, can i use mmDM02.01.00 to load my currently working games with 3.55 or do i need to convert them?
I ask this because any game i try to mount in mmDM comes with an error saying: "EBOOT.BIN could not be converted to fself. ERROR: EBOOT.ELF is not ELF File."

2.) If I do update to 4.21DEX, am i required to use the BDEMU method with open manager in order to play any backup?
2.b) Will this lock me out of backups that do not have updates like Darksiders 1?

I think that's all the questions i have at the moment, but honestly i'm trying to make heads or tails of all of this right now. So much is happening in the scene after the months of nothing that its hard to keep up lol.

    Thanks for any help/advice offered!

I figured out how to get Deus Ex to run via LAN, as it would get stuck at the installing screen because the game realised it was being run on a 'DEV' console.
Here's how to set it up -

In your BLES/BLUS folder, create a new folder called CACHE.
Copy CACHE.000, CACHE.000.md5 and CACHE.001 from PS3_GAME/USRDIR to your CACHE folder. Do not cut, copy. DO NOT CUT.
Cut the DATA folder from PS3_GAME/USRDIR and paste it in your BLES/BLUS directory.

This tricks the game into thinking it's been installed on your PS3's HDD0. The great thing about this is you don't have to install it to the PS3, and in boots pretty damn fast.
I've tested it for about an hour, saves are working, voices, textures, etc. Everything seems to be in order.

I hope this helps anyone who ran across this problem like myself.

That update fixed it, thanks Aldostools!

Stupid question though, it takes my games a long time to populate in mmCM over lan... in order to use the 10 game slots for mounting in mmDM im gonna have to setup the whole BDEMU HDD right? or is there an easier method available now? Also my other question answered itself when i went ahead and updated to 4.21DEX, good to see pre-working games didnt get broken.
