mmDM by 'Aldostools' - DEX Game Mounter updated with more BDEMU features!
Yesterday a new 'multiMAN' for DEX console usage was released, which allows for switching games on the fly directly from your PS3 instead of reaching back to your PC which is running the 'mmDM' by Aldostools, but it also needed to be updated for everything to work smootly, well after a nerve-wrecking whole sleepless night of testing, Aldostools is pleased to announce the new v02.00.00 of his DEX Game Mounter!
The major change in this version is that it fully integrates with multiMAN v04.05.04+ (DEX).
It has many other new features, I dare you to find them.
Remember, 'Aldostools' has tons of other cool PS3 stuff on his site, and to make usage of this program, you need an DEX console, ProDG (Target Manager), and the recently updated 'multiMAN' v04.05.04, plus of course a few PS3 games that you hopefully backup yourself!
So, what do I need to play 4.xx backups on a DEX console?
The latest DEX multiman, proDG and DEX Game Mounter? Nothing else?
I still have to convert my backups with PS3Gen, right? Is there an updated tutorial with these new tools?
I'm sorry, too many questions, I hope you will help me
First up, a huge thank you for your work in making this amazing app.
I've been a long time follower but decided to sign up to post this as there doesn't seem to be any real feedback online anywhere regarding mmDM.
Im running mmDM 2.01 on Windows Server 2008 and using MM 4.05.04 with Rogero 3.55 DEX.
Everything appears to be setup and working fine, Prodg connects and works with the PS3, DM mounts ok too.
When in multiman, none of the games (or mounted game?) show up. I'm not even sure if the whole list should be visible as I havent seen anything yet.
When checking /net_host0 in the filemanger the whole drive in which the games are on is mounted.
So my local drive H:\ which has a GAMEZ folder and a few others.
The file server dir (app_home) is mounting Z:\ (some times when in the XMB the mounted game is visible)
I've tried using different drive letters, moving game folders from within GAMEZ to the root of H:\ (and obviously changing this accordingly) but nothing worked.
My last attempt was to remove everything and start fresh, which ended in the exact same result.
Since I haven't heard about anyone elses attempts, I hope you dont mind my feedback here.
Again, I really appreciate your hard work with these awesome apps
The reason for your troubles is that these features are for 3.60-4.21 firmwares and not for 3.55. There is no reason for them to work on 3.55 where you have payload and can mount games from internal/external drives.
