ps3 EXCLUSIVE: multiMAN v04.05.07 (DEX) -- More improvement to PC-less switching of games

Well this evening it just got even better if you been lucky enough to follow the information out there and convert over your Jailbreakable Sony PS3 Console to DEX mode, now you can run the latest multiMAN v04.05.07 DEX on your converted or legit DEX box and switch between 10 games from the BDEMU USB HDD without the need of using your PC and running ProDG (Target Manager) software.

    Is that just not amazing!

    * Added support for selecting and activating up to 10 games from BDEMU USB HDD within multiMAN
--- NO NEED for PC+PRODG. To use the local BDEMU switching function a wired (local or internet) LAN connection is required and ProDG MUST NOT be connected

--- Use ProDG if you are using Aldo's mmDM 02.01.01.

    - Press [/\] whlie [* Refresh] is selected in Game column to access BDEMU slots

    * Retained support for mmDM 02.01.01 (Aldo's DEX Game Mounter)
Even tho, thanks to wonderful update by developer behind 'multiMAN', and here is no longer an need anymore for your PC or ProDG to be installed , the PS3 must still be connected to active LAN cable, that just the sadly the design of the DEX OS, no way around it!

NEWS SOURCE: Now updated to v04.05.07 as it now has an additional screen after 'retrieving bdemu game titles' which fixes the issue for the impatient users who tried to mount a game within 1 to 5 seconds after the scan was completed, which caused a lock in .06.!

    Off-Site Download Link: multiMAN ver 04.05.07 DEX (20120910).rar (25.23MB) via PS3SceneFiles

Mirror Link: multiMAN ver 04.05.07 DEX (20120910).rar (25.23MB) via Sendspace

Stay tuned as usual to PS3 Crunch for more amazing scene tweets from us!

Sorry havent been really following the DEX mode stuff. But from what im gathering you needed to be connected to your pc to run your backups from usb hdd, and now you dont? And if so, why must you still have a LAN connection?

Just the way the core OS is written it looks for an active LAN connection. -- Maybe the next step would be able to figure out how to bypass that syscall. -- This first step is amazing now no longer need the PC to be running a list of games, so you can switch between them!

Nice update deank, thanks. Personally, I have not attempted the BDEMU method but would rather load via LAN. No partition limitations and all my backups are stored on my PC anyway. It is very nice to have options though, keep up the hard work Deank and company!

Thanks to all the devs (deank, aldo and others) who are working hard on delivering to us, on a daily basis, the tools necessary to make the dex world even more user friendly. I have been follow the "dex" news, and i am amazed on the work done so far, i wonder what the near future bring to us. Again, Thanks!

I tested the new version. Works for me with a little problem. MMC sees only 3 slots starting from 0.
when trying to activate the higher slots, console freezes. My hard BDEMU has 5 slots. The MDM runs everything without a problem.
The new version of MMC only 3 slots

Works fine for me too. But there's a little problem, when I tried to select refresh icon it gives black screen. PS3 freeze and had to hard reset the PS3. The same with when I tried to pic an option "Retrive BDEMU Game Titles".

Do you know where I can find an updated tutorial (with the latest Multiman and other tools) to play 4.xx backups on DEX?

So now the hard work seems to be done !
But I have a question, does this work only on 3.55 games and 3.6 games that have eboot patches, or does it work even with 3.6+ games with the update method (like in ps3gen) ?
If it works with 3.6+ games, basically if the LAN problem is bypassed and we find a way for fake updates, that would be really awesome !
Thanks for the release, and keep up the hard work :d

    @hccompany

this is for loading BDEMU's only and mounting "all 10" on the fly

    u can build either:
    original+debugupdate
    original+ 355fix file fself'd replaced in PS3GEN, build image
then u have an bdemu image instead of a "stream" and it won't require any update
if there is an "fix" update ready, unpack and fself_npdrm it

does anyone have a video showing loading "all" exptended partitions?
knowing deank for his awsome work always
things gets only better each update, keep it the great work, for me i'm sitting it out cuse not much feedback on it atm, nontheless..great work man

PS: do u guys have any irc channel or something
