    ps3 Super Slim Playstation 3 model to be announced at the Tokyo Game Show

    Yes, it's real!! - Polish shop suggests it's out next Friday.

    The Sony's Tokyo Game Show conference will include a surprise for us, the new Playstation 3 ultra slim model.


    Polish website Polygamia.pl (via TheSixthAxis) reported on a picture found in a promotional newsletter for Polish electronics store chain Media Expert teasing a new PS3 model alongside a 28th September date.
    We already announced it some days ago and it seems now even more so that it is infact 100% real. The new Super Slim Playstation 3 is coming soon and you can expect it to be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show this week.

    The Sony's TGS press conference starts at 5am UK time on Wednesday 19th September and the new console may be released on the Friday, 28th September. Retailers suggest two models for this new PS3 console: 12GB and 500GB. The prices has been set to 199€ for the 12GB model and 299€ for the 500GB model.


    Images of the machine depict a black device labelled as a PS3, but with a ridged texture and what looks like a sliding top panel. Word on the grapevine is it looks like a toaster. Yum.
    If you're interested in it, you should stay alert at PS3 Crunch, as we will be covering the TGS show in-depth just after the Sony conference is over.
