    Angry RSOD on Rebug 3.41

I was on hermes 3.41, I had errors with a game dlc so I went to the recovery menu to restore database and files system. The database restored fine but the files system did caused an error correct hard drive is not found and states the hdd is corrupt and needs to reformat.

I reformat and install rebug 3.41, then I install spoofer 9.99 which enables/disables. I try to disable but every time I reboot I'm on 9.99, try to reinstall rebug via xmb tells me upgrade is lower than current system firmware and aborts.

I try the rebug upgrade hoping I'll get control of spoof files and ability to turn off. After a black screen I get rsod, my problem now is if I use lv2diag or rsodfix will I be able to install firmware 3.41/3.55 if spoof files make the system think its on 9.99?

    I've been reading the wiki
    Code:
    http://ps3devwiki.com/wiki/RSOD_Fix
There seems to be a new rsod fix without dongle if I run this to get into FSM to get to the xmb; will I be stuck on 9.99 spoof 3.41?, will it be safe to reinstall firmware if I can get mfw tcl to spoof 9.99 or use MMcm to dev write flash the correct files to vsh?

    any feedback would be appecieated

    Go here
    http://www.ps3scenefiles.com/ u need a free registration first
Go to Custom Firmware section and download 355-NOTHEROS-RSOD.PUP
Put it into an empty normal usb stick under the directory X:/PS3/UPDATE/ so it should be X:/PS3/UPDATE/355-NOTHEROS-RSOD.PUP
Now rename 355-NOTHEROS-RSOD.PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP so it should be X:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
Put the usb stick on far right usb slot of PS3
Start PS3 in recovery mode and let it make the firmware update procedure
Wneh it finishes u ll be in 3.55 non-otheros firmware

    Then download this fix_PS3_RSOD.rar
    http://www.mediafire.com/?3noko3k353wc952
Unrar it and put it on the root of the usb stick
Plug again the usb stick to PS3 and install the pkg through install package files
Run the program and let PS3 reboot
    RSOD is gone
U are ready now to install whichever 3.55 firmware u want

no need for a rsod fix here i would say. just reinstall firmware from recovery should help.
and don't use any spoofers on rebug, as it has its own spoof

in my oppinion this rsod fix should only be used on serious problems

My problem still stands as the firmware was working as 3.41 spoof 9.99 before getting rsod.

So the last time ps3 was working the system is on 9.99 spoof so to reinstall firmware from recovery, I still might need a mfw tcl spoof to equal what the system thinks its on.

The non dongle version requires you install the fsm pkg before you get any problems. The wiki states rsod pup ver is no longer recommended since the newer version is less prone to permanent brick. It also states after installing rsod pup failure to install proper cfw/ofw degrades the vsh which are already corrupt.

So before I venture further and have a permanent door stopper want to be sure. Matzos my situation is slightly different from yours as you got rsod before spoof became active so logically last working system files should be 3.55 as 4.11 didn't come in to full effect.

I've tried to boot into to recovery mode but get xmb error sound after the first beep then RSOD instead of 2nd beep and recovery menu.
