The info to dump JB2 is all there.. I offered to guide anyone through the process and even had other people willing to waste their time and look at the dumps
All I said I wanted to do was get it dumped, couldnt do that as the person I gave the dongle to left.. I wasnt spending more money on another one.
Like said above: have fun and pay for a dongle if it makes you feel like a rebel but you really are an idiot if theres a free solution right there as well
Ohhh multiMAN DEX update is out
Supports 4.21 DEX CFW
I have a TB/JB-King/Console/TB Special BD and every thing you want to test your theories and i'm willing to do it if you want.
The discs... Ive got 250 of the special TB discs and 1200 BD-R's.. If I never see another disc again it will be to soon!
Maybe try and hunt down that oxweb dude who released the TB BCA codes.. He seemed interested in the discs
Do you have one of those JB2 $20 dongles? Thats the one we were working on.
I think its kind of pointless now but for the sake of finishing it, if you have it I can tell you basically what you have to do
wil have to find all my old notes
For the moment refer to this thread at hax: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=38402
It seems the schematics and high res pics are gone so I will upload them again here (in the JB2 thread) and there also.
In a nutshell hook it up to an SPI flasher and dump it haha.. it had no protection, it was as we mentioned a cheap USB to SATA adaptor.. exactly like all the crappy overpriced 360 ODDEs
If the 4.21 CFW is really going to see the light of day, then that's AWESOME! Just got one of the new new slim consoles, and it actually has 4.21 installed. Do you think the 4.21 CFW might work with the newer models?

Im gonna say know being no firmware has since 3.55, but theres always a downgrader (well usually that works)
PS3 Slim w/ Rebug Rex 4.30.2, 500GB Internal, 1TB/3TB External; PS2 Fat McBoot w/ Hard Drive; Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Last game finished: Crysis 3 | Currently Playing: Dead Space 3
True, a downgrader could be released for this console... I may have to update it anyways, to get all my crap back from the backup from my old PS3 I had. I'm certain it will say you need to update to get the data back...
i'm also having problems like emiralem, i can't seem to make the bdemu switching work. No game show up on list and having an error while mounting since i got no game list
Here's my setup:
-PS3 slim
-4.21 DEX (converted and updated from 3.55 CEX and not downgraded)
-Multiman 04.06.02 DEX (updated tru the ps3 internet connection saved and install via usb)
-a ps3 BD-rom game is left inside
-HDD connected on the usb slot nearer the bd drive
-120 GB external HDD formated on the ps3 and containing only 2 games
-the two games are made using ps3gen (unpatched and on original state)
-tested game on slot 0 by manual switching with the pc and works, tested game on slot 1 by manual switching and works
-LAN connection via router with internet / also tested on anoter router with no internet / also tested with router with no internet and set router ip 192.168.1.1 so my ps3 will be 192.168.1.2
is there any special debug or multiman setting to do to make the PC-less BDemu switching work?

Need some help Deank, a bit new to this. Have this .07 version installed. Trying to switch between bd emu games. When I hit triangle, nothing shows up (just the ten slots). Have wired connection to my modem but not sure that is all I need. My questions are (1) do I need some kind of sharing with my pc? I don't think I do anymore. (2) What should the BD Drive settings be in the deug settings? USB emu or BD drive? How about transfer speed and release/system software mode? Thanks so much.
If you can't get it to work then you should use mmDM on your PC + ProDG. mmDM can remotely switch the active BDEMU partition by sending commands to your PS3 and multiMAN.
1) Start your PS3 (connected via wired LAN to your router/PC)
2) Start mmDM on your PC (it will auto launch ProDG and rcp_bdemu interface for mM). Make sure that you have your PS3 configured as a target in ProDG first.
3) Wait until mmDM detects the bdemu games and they appear in mM in the Game column (in[*]Refresh->[Triangle]/Side menu)
4) Activate a game slot and wait for popup confirmation when mmDM activates the slot via ProDG

If you like multiMAN or multiAVCHD, support the development with a small donation. Click here.
Hi Dean, I have noticed that the DEX versions cannot access the HOME folder, the windows closes it self. (For copy EDATs etc) but the CEX version can access it even when running on DEX.
Could you implement it into the DEX version?
