Get max payne duplex fix here: http://ps3scenefiles.com/file.php?id=969 Extract rar file, then you will get duplex-mp3ebootpatch.rar, duplex-mp3ebootpatch.r00 & duplex-mp3ebootpatch.r01. Extract duplex-mp3ebootpatch.rar. You will get common.sdat, EBOOT.BIN & PARAM.SFO put these files in full game backup where the same named files are.

What update? you dont do anything with .sfv it just to check if the files are what they say they are before hand (checksum) you don't need it to patch the game. If you mean the Max Payne 1.05 update you can't use it it's not patched, just uninstall it if so.

remember to make a backup of your original files (common.sdat, Eboot.bin and PARAM.SFO) just in case it happened to me before
