is that what you do? yeah thats a good idea, dont hafta worry about regions or anything then.. i was thinking of just buying one of those toshiba region free 3D players.. theyre cheap, do ya know if theyre any good?

when you do rip a blu ray movie isn't it like 10 gigs or more? I don't know since I never ripped one before. I say it is a hefty size tho.
Yeah, more than that actually 20-50. Also newer Blurays use JAVA menus so you can generally only rip the main movie and everything else separate, you can then make your own menu if you want. I generally just rip the main movie without any subs & only the main audio track. But I also have a 3TB external, which you can get for 125 USD or so if you're a smart shopper.
