As you may have noticed over the past few days, I (gDrive) was banned from PS3Crunch, but seeing as the members here have been asking questions left, right and centre regarding my whereabouts and why I was banned with vague answers given to the members, I've decided to create this thread for the purpose of answering the main question, which is: why was gDrive banned?
Now the reason as to why I was permanently banned was that I've gotten so fed up with the childish scene drama and the idiotic site wars up to the point that it has taken a toll on me from a mental perspective, and thus, I can no longer continue to participate or get involved in the scene on a mainstream scene site level, so in short; I'm out, and as for Dangwoot and/or GaryOPA, if they can change my (gDrive) user title to "Retired" (no need to delete that account), I will appreciate that, and lastly:

I don't see your choice as a biggie since you're still around, Gaming should never be anything more than Gaming. I focus on that and dismiss the consumer "I want everything" attitude". This is about you though, so see you around anyway

Agreed, especially when I see you on SOR on a regular basis.
Also, the developer/scene member contributions are, like you right said, should be the main focus but sadly, when stupid drama overshadows the legitimate scene contributions, then it's an indicator that the scene is far too immature beyond any effort to work on improving it.
I come back and gDrive leaves :'( Take care of yourself mate, I know all too well what the drama in this shitpile scene can do to your state of mental health... I just took damn near a YEAR break ffs. I hope you drop by more often than you stay away -- and I'm glad to hear that not only are you a mod on SOR (<3<3<3) but that SOR is actually BACK (<3<3<3) I'm man enough to admit tears were shed over the death and closure of SOR.
I'm sorry to see you go gDrive, you are one of my favorite people here at ps3crunch. However, I am hopeful that you will stop by from time to time here. It always sucks when the bullshit PS3 drama gets people so pissed off that they have to leave, but leaving is definitely better for your personal well-being. It is the main reason why I have never allowed myself to become personally invested in the PS3 scene as I have in other scenes (wii, original xbox, ds).
It makes a lot of sense to just lurk around the PS3 scene and enjoy whatever is released. This is the same strategy that I use - I occasionally post here and at psx-scene, but otherwise I don't contribute. I avoid the ps3haxdrama at all costs, unless I'm in the mood for some comedy.
