New PS3 'Super Slim' propels console sales up 138%

The arrival of the new 'Super Slim' PS3 has boosted sales of the console in the UK!
According to UKIE and GfK Chart-Track data, the PS3 sales were up 138% last week thanks to the 'Super Slim' model launch, despite not being any cheaper than the original Slim model!
The new 500GB machine accounted for 37 per cent of all PS3s sold for the week ending September 28th. And with the new machine releasing last Friday, that means it clocked the numbers in just two days.
The 12GB Flash memory based Super Slim SKU will also be released in the UK on October 12th and will retail for anything between £180 and £200.
