    Damn dude.. I'd give that a clean out and apply some fresh paste!
    Mine was sitting in mM with both at 62°c then after 10 minutes of Tekken, CPU was 63°c and RSX was 65°c

    That's the bitchy thing with the PS3 - the damn black plastic piece of crap gets hotter than a pornstar in a raunchy mood.

    Yes, and also, Arctic Cooling MX4 (and MX2) is a good thermal compound to use as well.

    i am alittle weary about it. i have heard horror stories about bad thermal paste jobs on xboxs and it ruined their system. yikes

    also read it takes 2 weeks for artic silver to cure? does that mean you can't play it for 2 weeks? or it wont start to cool down until 2 weeks

    Piratan do you keep the ps3 vertical or horizontal?

    I used to keep my ps3 slim horizontal but since the heat build up (at the base) and the expanding and contracting noises after the Ps3 is off I now keep vertical. Less heat built up and no expanding and contracting noises.

    I use Arctic Silver 5 for laptops, PC CPU-s, PS3, etc. and works very well in different systems.
    Here is some info from manufacturer;
    "During the CPU's initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability."

    In the first period of use the difference is 1-3°C.
