I posted in the old mmDM thread about my troubles with Uncharted 2.
Whenever I try to load Uncharted 2 via DEX firmware, whether it be by disc, LAN or internal ripped copy, it always black screens. I looked into what ProDG had to say and apparently the error is "*** CRITICAL ERROR - The OS is taking up 2.000 MB more memory than we accounted for. Aborting!"
is there any way around this, or is this one of those games I'll have to go back to CEX to play?
I'm happy to say I figured out what the problem was. By putting the PS3 into 'Release Mode' it frees up the extra 2 MB and allows the game to run properly. I hope this helps anyone else who runs across this or similar problems.
at the end....ended up with a perfectly working 4partitions 1TB HDD
refusing to work/load on the TEST PS3
where it also worked fine before updating and running Multiman
Short story, because there is no long one - multiMAN can't break/change/delete/format/etc your BDEMU HDD. There is no code about bdemu in multiMAN, because to mM the mounted bdemu-game is just another game DISC.
Check again in [*Debug Settings] if the BD Drive is set to BD EMU (HDD), check if you plug the hdd in the rightmost port, etc etc. Just because you used mM at the time that it happened it doesn't mean it has anything to do with it.

can only say that happend after running updated multiman on 420
and again the drive works fine
only REFUSE to work after this on the console whit updated multiman
@deank
edited it all abit, in no way trying to be a smart-ass i should have wrote another sentence about settings
no harm done....well that the this drive isn't working for this ps3...i
and for the "writing" to NOR, that may be a little to much
i know thoug the steps i did, and have another for test....
then it must be the "internal hdd" something on it having some "partitions(10) and looking for it
for THIS DRIVE ONLY..haha see thats the case, i can try another hdd and works fine
well that is for a 8GB with 1 game mounted, so the settings are ofcourse correct...i had to put this sentence in another way
sorry for that deank, cuse i know you have the skills and far more expierence in PS3 then me
your work+showtime is the best on cex/dex, only now the BDEMU extending and for real getting it working
takes a little more time maybe?
can anyone post a video with let's say atleast 8 mounted and see them all boot after manual remount
Is it possible to use multiMAN with 'GameDATA tool'? More specifically, I mean to launch multiMAN when 'gameData tool' is in USB mode rather than using 'gameData tool' to change from USB to HDD, then launch multiMAN.
I tried installing another copy of multiMAN while in USB mode but that did not work.
Strangest thing happened.. I updated mmCM to mmDex (newest one) and when it came on,
all the game pictures were messed up fuzzy blocks. I went to press up and hit refresh, and my ps3 shot to a black screen. I couldn't exit. Couldn't power off. It was frozen. So I had no choice,
but to pull the plug. I turned it back on and my 1TB internal HDD was corrupt I had to reformat it.
Was it because of the GAMES directory being changed or was it just a freak occurrence?

Same thing happened to me once but PS3 restored the HDD without reformatting. So I restrain from using the DEX version of multiman from that time on.

Your lucky man. I had no choice. Lost about 800GB's of shit..
I don't mind losing ps3 games or trophies but losing the saves and psn games is a hurt piece.
to avoid the corrupt hdd, always try and do keep pressing front shutdown button, 98% of the time with any frees, the ps3 wil beep. keep it pressed and it goes beepnuts and off, most cases it repairs always, never seen a corrupted hdd of frees even the powercord pull, anyway your not alone, had the same, only no corruption, and for 355/multiman it worked great, latest +bdemu is another story
