From what I got from what was said, they are saying you can update to the latest OFW for free, but still install their latest CFW.

i was being sarcastic, in that anyone with half a brain cell can convert to dex and have 4.2x fw anyway..........

To show our appreciation for everyone's enthusiasm and concern, we've decided to work with our distributor at taobao(Chinese equivalent of ebay) to bring you firmware update service at a super low price 98 RMB(around 15USD). To express our gratitude to our dear users, we've also decided to offer an upgrade from BDCFW 4.21 to BDCFW 4.25 for free.

    Features of CFW 4.25:
1:Support games up to 4.25. No eboot fix is needed. Get original game backup and play right away.
    2: Support PSN
3: Support internal and external HDD.
4: You can downgrade to 3.55 , or update to latest OFW in the future and then later newer CFW.(upgraded via PUP file on USB, no hardware modification)
5: No external USB device is needed to boot BDCFW 4.25

Visit our distributor's page (http://olygame.taobao.com/) if you have any questions.

...nice to know the cfw can be kept up to date, together with PSN access

btw, why is it so quiet over here? a few months back, this topic would have had about 100 pages already lol.
also almost no (news) posts from Gary/Griffin...

I have a feeling that Uncle GaryOPA is just gathering some real crunchfilled news for us, you know, wait for all the bits to comeout and put into a nice sandwich instead of posting pieces (wrt this particular story) . The fact that they are quiet is a good thing.

I am really surprised that they speak of 4.25CFW and didn't martket this whole thing on the basis of that, still it is really cheap and being an ex dongle user i will be sure to buy one to test on my bro's ps3 and monitor the situation.

Thanks for the newsupdate, i can see alot of users who said they WON'T buy it , will say, TAKE MY MONIES NOW lol.

I dare say this will sell more than the other dongles (clones etc).

Edit: i remember a tweet from N0DRM (subject to correction) saying that 4.21 and 4.25 is exactly the same..hmmm. Will edit again with a proof of them saying it.

    Edit2: here it is
    N0DRM
uhhh... 4.25 and 4.21 are the same :P

I visit and lurk and read, waiting for something to catch my interest for me to comment, that and now I spend more time playing games with the wife, now that I've gotten moved into the country and what not stuff, but yeah, like others have said, once newer CFW drops people'll flock back to the site.

Crunch is not dying it just does not make news out of nothing this device is stupid.

If anything showing the stance as no publicity to this new device shows that paranoia is rife

Also in related news is a PS3 CFW 4.21 Theory and N0DRM Method (via consolecrunch.com/possible-cfw-4-21-theory-and-nodrm-method/):

From zadow28: Memdump wont work, memdump needs the peek/poke patches to function. Also if you manage to get memdump to run, it goes into an infinity loop thats not so easy to recover from, so only run it if you are sure. Also you have to make it an debug self the memdump tool to make it run.

    ps3 multiMAN v04.06.02 & 4.06.03 DEX now available!

    Now with CPU/GPU Temp Sensor

Deank has updated multiMAN for CEX consoles, implementing the software CPU/GPU Temperature Sensor by 3141card.

It looks like PS3 Dev '3141card' has released a software CPU/GPU Temp Sensor (see its Tech here) as a standalone PKG. Obviously, this one allows you to view the internal temperatures of your PS3.

Now, Deank picked the code up and has implemented it into the new multiMAN v04.06.02 for CEX.

Here's the changelog for this version:

    04.06.02

    * Added option in "Settings" - "Show Temperature Data" in Clock area (Disable/Enable/Auto) (thanks to Mysis and 3141card_)
    The new options:

    - Auto: will cycle the two temps along with time
    - Enable: Will display everything like the bottom image below
