I have to say i LOVE MultiMAN, but deleting games is VERY slow (on external USB drive), for example, to delete my Mass Effect 2 game, PS3 needed 55 minutes, to delete another one (cant remember name atm) it needed 1 hour and a half (90+ minutes), my PC deletes it in 2-5 minutes, so i just do it from PC from now on. But deleting games on Internal PS3 HDD seems to work fine and is MUCH faster. Is there any way to fix this, or is this the maximum that MultiMAN can do for deleting files in external USB and no update of the code can help?
There are no changes in mM's code about deletion of files/folders. It seems on 4.** CFW it takes much longer to operate with the USB drives than it used to be on 3.55. If you wish you can start mM in debug mode (while holding L2+R2) and update online and give the 'steroid' version of mM a try.

hmm "steriod" version...sounds good....might try it out, seems there are differents in the way of updating online?
most of the time i take an offline version and update, each update makes it more "complete" this updating via MM debug/steriod version made me curious , anyone have an updated "block" list with domains, i have added the PS3MFW "privpatch"tlc domains and added them to the router so ONLINE will block these on 4.xxCFW, like to have um all blocked to have an eas of mind on that part, not 100% sure if that latest privpatch covers them all

everything runs great, the "remote" access is again genius and for the moment only tested here from PC>PS3..haha works beatifully, tryed to connect 2 PS3 in the house, 1 online, the other only connected to the PC, that's why it failed i guess, both must be ONLINE to work?, tryed to connect from the offline one to the online but failed..must be my mistake, need to try again with them both connected to the router, great feature.... also great one can "disable" remote option also
after testing settings and finally getting to "proper" setup all emulators+roms+images, keep hitting a brick there when scanning for the ROMS, specifically VBA/FNANext
i'm aware that latest RetroARCH requires updated ROMS for them to show/load, that's why i'm using older build wich supports the "older" 7GB rompack, using a FBANext MM version build 487, with this if i set ONLY the fban emulator and roms folder, they do(not all) show and work from MM ( hdd0\ROMS\fba)
also noticed when using this way naming the folders, MM picksup/changes the folders to proper "console" names great job again!
although, when only setting FBAN in MM's options.ini, they show up correctly and loads fine to from MM using that "older" fban version, then again not ALL ROMS are there, even tho using the FBAN MM version from XMB it gives all roms for all supported consoles, when manually browsing the ROM's folder with MM it shows for example "CAPCOM&Neogeo tm for "fba" roms and they all show, when refreshing the RETRO colom they stop at "S" all roms thereafter not there, when i un # all the rest in options.ini to show all emulators, only GEN+/NES-fceu/SNES showup in colom, manually browsing gives them all incl FBAN but does not add them when "refresh the list" same thing for VBA_next and gameboy color/adv, all roms are tested and working on the system via custom(images)stand alone RetroARCH's and ofcourse via full normal build allin1 RetroARCH minus "old" FBAN they won't work there as i'm aware of
i'm starting at it again with FBAN first, the weird thing is when adding e.g the VBA path/rom, nothing shows up, enable them all and only fceu/snes/gen show, manually browse gives them all though, i'm not giving in, it takes alot of time the emu/rom part tho, but it looks kickass once finished though with the covers if any TIPS there..pls do..thx anyhows
the only thing so far (thx for fixing the 8001009 fix bug btw!) i've seen after updating from "04.14.00" full to 04.16.00/16.01( cuse the ROM part can be my fault, although i'm sure follow all to the letter only got some trouble with MM showing them all), this to can be my bad not using MM properly, posting it anyway
i think the "Data BD/DVD/CD part is not working properly anymore, the test DVDR i'm using worked previously fine via MM loading, either the manual set "direct disc acces" and after the 04.14? update it became automatically when a DATA disc was inserted, MM does it thing with the disc and one can load it from MM XMB, the stDISC3.pkg also works great with latest Showtime and via MM, only after scanning the disc at startup it kicks back to XMB trying to play it from MM XMB, only works (for me) when loading the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" from MmOS
There is a limit of 2048 entries per XMMB column. If you have more than 2040 roms (total) it won't show them. I'll check the 'data cd/dvd/bd' but mM should enable the direct-disc-access automatically - either on startup or when you insert such disc.
The 'steroid' version which you can get online works like 10 times faster than usual... also the remote-access to this mM version is much more faster, too.
p.s. I tested the 'direct-disc-access' and everything is ok with data discs.

There is a 04.16.02 version available online (cex/dex/stealth).
* A show-off version so you can find out what speeds is multiMAN capable of
D
p.s. You will notice a great performance boost which affects nearly all mM functions (including copy/delete/verify/scanning for games/GUI/loading of images/coverart, faster remote-access, etc).
Let me know how you feel about it.

Wow...I downloaded this when I saw it pop up on my PS3 and already was playing around with it. It's so much faster! Is this how fast all future releases will be or just a show off release to show off what MM is capable of for those complaining about it being too slow, but for other reasons is it more stable on the slower releases?
