3.56 ps3 questions

I haven't payed much attention to the ps3 scene since my ps3 died but I recently got one that came on 3.56 ofw and have a few questions.

Is it possible to downgrade a 3.56 ofw ps3 to 3.55 cfw without a hardware flasher?

Is there a 3.56 cfw?

I'm pretty sure you can as long as you don't downgrade past the factory firmware. I could be wrong though.

There was a 3.56CFW i thought by demonhades or something but it sucks or doesnt do much anyway didnt catch on.

Thanks for the info so this means with 3.56 I need a flasher to downgrade and cannot even go to 3.56 jfw with the 3.56 ofw on my ps3.

The 3.56 custom firmware was really 3.55 with /some/ 3.56 stuff and signed with 3.55 keys, so yeah, it's crap. You need a flasher, but depending on your system. If you have a nand ps3, e3 won't work. Only progkseet and infectus, but infectus is obsolete. Only models CECHA-G work with progskeet. Everything else works with progskeet and e3.

Just in case he wasn't aware for the "most" part old ps3 phats are NAND and slims are NOR, if you're not sure give us your model number should start with CECH and physically be on your ps3 console.
