The Xperia tablet is defective
Sony has halted sales of its Xperia tablet PC because it's susceptible to water damage.
A month after its launch, Sony has halted sales of its Xperia tablet PCs after discovering some gaps between the screen and the case that make the machines susceptible to water damage.
This tablet is supposed to be water resistant and the problem seems to be a result of a manufacturing flaw at the Chinese plant where it's fabricated. Sony don't know when they will resume sales. The Xperia tablet was released on September 7 in the US, followed by Japan, Europe and elsewhere and Sony has sold around 100,000 units at the moment. Sony has confirmed that they will fix any of the tablets sold.
Sony will offer repairs in regions where the device is available, including the U.S., Canada, Europe, Oceania and Taiwan.
