I think I've find out why my PS3 brick. When I doing the update I've forget my game disk inside the PS3 which have a old firmware on it, and somehow after the 4.21CFW update the system auto. put the old firmware on the disk (FFXIII) into my machine. Can anyone who brick tell if they have a game disk inside their machine when they do the update? Now'll need to see if someone have a way to bring those machine back.
i put the FSM dongle in pull the power cord plug it back in turn on the ps3 then press eject the ps3 turns on the green light comes on and my console beeps like 5- 6 times then turns off again.
i put the USB in afterwards it turns on the yellow hdd light comes on for a sec and then it beeps for like 5-6 times and turns off again
is it the usb im using or what any ideas

Sounds like your using the wrong lvl2diag file if your doing all the steps properly. After it beeps with green 5-6 beeps, your putting the pup file on the usb and attempting FSM again correct ?? Do you have a dongle to try the PSgrade technique ??
Call me NuTs.. but I'm thinking that pretty much.. You can't get to FSM because it's a 4.XX brick.
FSM was changed by sony after 3.56 / 4.XX to where, even if you get in you're fucked..
You won't be able to get out of it.. Even Rogero said he's unsure about the 4.XX FSM when I asked him.
Anyone know if this will work on a Minumus AVR 32K? I know, old school. I suspect it will not as I have no power to usb. Maybe I can send this thing to someone that can make use of it

Dear Rogero. I want you to know that my CECH 25x PS3 is fully bricked. But what I really, really want you to know is that I am ok with it and I support you. I want everyone to know. Even if you got bricked like me, please stop and take the time to appreciate this mans work.
Whilst I did laugh at the Waninkoko 2.0 jibs, what Rogero is doing here will make it POSSIBLE to replace your brick with a second hand one and then get this awesome CFW working on it. For all you know your PS3 could have randomly smoked in a week anyhow. I take responsibility. I could have waited. But I didn't and I hope the info provided helps. After all if it were never possible to install on a CECH 25x, it's about as fun as a brick anyway XD.
But the work these guys have released here changes everything and our fallen soldier-station 3's, RIP, will save so many consoles when the patterns emerge and the warnings are already up.

Not neccesary. Rogero can easily test this as he has been trying to brick consoles to find out why, as he can re-flash them (I suspect, lol). He can confirm this but it would be interesting if this could be the difference between a CECH 25xxx working and not. I guess the big question is, who, with a CECH 25xx machine, with 3.50 base FW, HAS ACTUALLY WORKED. And the details of the unit/upgrade steps. *Not saying try it and report back! NO!. Just us brick-holders and succesful 25xx upgraders if there are any. Avoid if you have a CECH 25xxx model or base FW of 3.5 (came with 3.5 when new).
