    CEXflash.bin -- TargetID 84
    MD5: 0181d45298c54daccf950ac43eeb891b

Rename file back to original for MM flashing.

if you like to re-produce/rebuild the CEXflash (verify on your own to know what your doing)
    it's easy:

    * grab c2d_v2 (latest MM includes all apps)
    * install openssl to c:\openssl
    * put all your file sinto the cd2 folder (flashdex.bin/eid_root_key.bin)
    * click and hold SHIFT+rightclick in the open cd2 folder
    * open command prompt here
    * copy/paste following line to convert dexflash to proper CEXflash TargetID 84

    Code:
    c2d.exe eid_root_key.bin flashdex.bin flashCEX.bin 84
that's all you need to do here, verify the MD5 checksum

    the correct/valid converted NAND CEXflash/TargetID 84
    MD5: 0181d45298c54daccf950ac43eeb891b

    oh yeah....
Use at your OWN RISK!!! ... i'm not responsible for any BRICK

Just to make sure, this was for me yes? Oh and need not worry about a brick, I've got a PSP to do any recovery with, had to use it in the past.

3- Start FSM. it will beep and return to xmb. then start FSM again and let it do its job
4- After all done, PS3 will turn off, remove usb, delete files, but rename lv2diag_exit.self to lv2diag.self.
5- Connect again to ps3, and turn on PS3, it will turn on and off in 4/5 seconds.
6- Remove usb, and turn on PS3, it will now turn on normally, and you'll be on a partially DEX/CEX CFW ROGERO v3.4
7- Now install multiman 4.03, only on that works on it, and install eid_rkdumper.pkg
8- Start dumper, ps3 will beep and reboot.
9- Go to multiman, and get your file at dev_hdd0/tmp and copy it to a usb
10- Do what you need to convert your dex to cex nand, im still trying to do it, since Windows 8 dont let me do it.
11- Put itskamel 3.55 dex on usb, and go back to it, using system update on XMB.
12- Install 4.06 multiman on it, and flash it with your converted to CEX nand.
13- Exit to XMB, turn off on power button, and then turn on again on power button.
14- Update with any cex fw on system update, and voila, back on CEX.

before sending my nor and eid here, i'll try if i could do this myself following this guides....

    at your own risk

this is one way but their was another way which i cant find right now but i think it was on ps3iso.com and involved changing some files in flash and then you could dump your eid key
i did this to get my eid, dump my 3.55DEX from MM and when i run C2D i run into this error. "ERROR: Cannot open [I:\PS3Tools v3.1\3_cmac.bin]"

People with NAND getting this error in c2d:

Wrong format of EID key file: 16777216 bytes (16MB) expected, but 251396096 found!

The people that cant get NAND eid_root_key to work in c2d make sure you have the latest version c2d.

EDIT: the latest is in mM's full/base+ packs, it is a typo in the displayed string

ofcourse it's yours....best try to re-produce it and verify with a hexeditor like freeware HxD, its your PS3 and making one is easy, the outcome MUST be identical as mine, once again use at your own risk

ps: follow the safe way guide "dex2cex TuT made by Pepe" it should be here on the forum somewhere

I'm nearly 100% sure if you lose your CEX original flash and it was QA toggled, when you/I make a new CEX flash from DEX flash, the new CEX flash wont be QA toggled and you'll more than likely brick (perhaps not so much with FSM method), but can of course use the newly made CEX flash with a flasher.

EDIT: Not 100% sure so if you dont have a flasher, use FSM and backup internal on DEX 355 with CEX multiman before FSM

Try these steps to try and get your eid_root_key:

1- Since you are already on itskamel dex 3.55, install FactoryServiceModeV2.pkg 2- Copy rogero FW v3.4 and lv2diag.self to the root of a usb and connect it to the most right usb door on your PS3 3- Start FSM. it will beep and return to xmb. then start FSM again and let it do its job 4- After all done, PS3 will turn off, remove usb, delete files, but rename lv2diag_exit.self to lv2diag.self. 5- Connect again to ps3, and turn on PS3, it will turn on and off in 4/5 seconds. 6- Remove usb, and turn on PS3, it will now turn on normally, and you'll be on a partially DEX/CEX CFW ROGERO v3.4 7- Now install multiman 4.03, only on that works on it, and install eid_rkdumper.pkg 8- Start dumper, ps3 will beep and reboot. 9- Go to multiman, and get your file at dev_hdd0/tmp and copy it to a usb
