what this method is saying is, it will allow you to have like a hybrid firmware and you can use it to get your key once you have your key you will patch your dex dump so make your dex dump FIRST using multiman.

The follow this guide to get your KEY

then when you have your key you can repatch your dex dump and install it back over this hybrid

I have not tested this so i do not know if it works etc you do it at your own risk

EDIT: you gave me a set of 6 different sized EIDO keys. Its late here so ill have to look into this. Did you use flatz eid root key dumper pkg? or what did you do to get 6 of these I only need one legit 48 byte one EDI4 is 48 bytes but didnt work. Is this how OtherOs/Linux dumps them if so just havent used it. Regardless, ill look into it or just tell me.

I used a XMB eEIDx Dumper its a new Pkg.. Flatz dumper doesnt work on my dex console.. Yes that is how the dump was retrieved using the new DUMPER.. Thanks for the concern

1- Since you are already on itskamel dex 3.55, install FactoryServiceModeV2.pkg
2- Copy rogero FW v3.4 and lv2diag.self to the root of a usb and connect it to the most right usb door on your PS3
3- Start FSM. it will beep and return to xmb. then start FSM again and let it do its job
4- After all done, PS3 will turn off, remove usb, delete files, but rename lv2diag_exit.self to lv2diag.self.
5- Connect again to ps3, and turn on PS3, it will turn on and off in 4/5 seconds.
6- Remove usb, and turn on PS3, it will now turn on normally, and you'll be on a partially DEX/CEX CFW ROGERO v3.4
7- Now install multiman 4.03, only on that works on it, and install eid_rkdumper.pkg
8- Start dumper, ps3 will beep and reboot.
9- Go to multiman, and get your file at dev_hdd0/tmp and copy it to a usb
10- Do what you need to convert your dex to cex nand, im still trying to do it, since Windows 8 dont let me do it.
11- Put itskamel 3.55 dex on usb, and go back to it, using system update on XMB.
12- Install 4.06 multiman on it, and flash it with your converted to CEX nand.
13- Exit to XMB, turn off on power button, and then turn on again on power button.
14- Update with any cex fw on system update, and voila, back on CEX.

this is one way but their was another way which i cant find right now but i think it was on ps3iso.com and involved changing some files in flash and then you could dump your eid key

I've done these steps and most of them worked for me, I was able to get my eid key and while I was in that hybrid CFW I also ran the rebug Toggle_QA.pkg just to be safe.

with my EID0 key and dex .NANDBIN dump in hand I tried to use c2d.exe to convert it back to CEX but it comes up with a problem saying the eid key file isn't the right format, it's expecting a 16mb dump, which is for NOR not NAND, so....

PatrickBatman, I know you can do it but you have a bandwidth cap, if you could tell me how you change a NAND dump I'll be glad to do that myself, I know my way around a hex editor enough to find offsets.

It should work use c2d.exe to change it just make sure you rename the files correctly

Yeah isnt that the BLUEDISK crap from their website? Flatz key dumper wont work if you're on 421 DEX have you tried 3.55 DEX? (On DEX421 CEX packages wont, i dont even know if its supposed to be used on DEX, guess we can find out)

Does anyone know how to convert a NAND DEX dump to CEX? I have the eid key file and the dex dump and region is North America(USA/Canada)

You do the same as NOR if the dump is 239MB, if its 256MB you have to cut it down a bit.
