hi im trying to recover from a DEX2CEX brick and trying to use a minimus 32 to enter service mode but im not having any luck, would it be ok if you guys run your eyes over what im doing and ket me know what iim doing wrong?
Ive downloaded the flip software from the amtel site and installed the drivers by pointing the hardware installation guide to the usb folder in (C:\Program Files\Atmel\Flip 3.4.7\usb)
Plug in the minimus hold both buttons release reset, release HWB,
load flip and select chip (ATmega32U2) <-- confirmed this by checking device manager
device usb connect.
click file and im selecting "psgrade_minimus_atmega32u2_16.hex"
click run
click start application <-- at this point both light are on (Red/Green)
unplug PS3
plug in Minimus
plug in PS3
Hit power and eject
both lights come on minimus and then the red light goes off (i thought this indicated the payload being loaded?)
can anyone confirm I am using the correct hex file and the procedure im following is the correct way to enter service mode?
You can get a PS3key from modchipcentral.com for less than $10 and it will do the same thing.
Could you tell me how to do this? I have an ps3key and the zip with hex files but then what? The system does not reconice the ps3key as an atmel chip and when i load the flip software it say atlubusbdfu.dll not found. When i search for that i must update the driver but that only work when the ps3key will be reconiced as atmel chip.
