So enzomatrix... Did ur method work? I'm on TB but working on getting back onto kmeaw to make the conversion over to rogero 4.30...

forgot to say it worked; updated my post. on 4.30 and downloaded/installed the AssCreed III 1.01 update perfectly. (had to disable my dnsmasq entries in router for blocking all PSN and whatnot, then put those restrictions back on)

I went from TB to OFW by doing the following (Patrick's advise is bolded):

REMOVE THE TB DONGLE

then

MAKE SURE YOU REMOVED THE TB DONGLE

then

1) boot up Tb firmware once cuz why not it's fun to boot without dongle
2) go to recovery mode and flash OFW 3.55
3) go to recovery mode and flash kmeaw 3.55

honestly you probably can skip step 2 but who cares it only adds like maybe 10 minutes.

Yeah I think it's safer to go to OFW 3.55... Thanks for all the help. Will try this later and report if it worked or me

Hey Enzomatrx, u only did the toggle_qa that one time only? Then flashed to OFW then back to kmeaw? And did u check the toggle qa with that console twister thing (L1+L2+L3, R1+R2+down on directional pad) ?

I ran the toggle_qa once in kmeaw, confirmed the key combo worked, then went to recovery and flashed OFW 3.55.
I confirmed the key combo still worked when i was in OFW 3.55, then went back into recovery and flashed kmeaw 3.55 again.
Not sure if I checked if QA was valid at that point still (pretty sure I did and it was still valid), and went back into recovery and did 4.30CFW.
QA key combo doesn't work in 4.30, but that's to be expected I believe and doesn't concern me.

well after a lot of thinking i went ahead and have just updated mine.
went from tb -->ofw 3.55 --> kmeaw -->qaflagged --> backed up my nand --> rogero 4.30.

all fine on a first release ps3

Yes that is the case (QA flag not enabled on post-3.55 firmware) because nobody has found a way to enable the flags on post-3.55 firmware yet.
