im on the latest multiman, and i have some games that have not been patched at all, but not one game will load, all i can get to load is multiman and the retroarch that ive just installed, nothing else will load, it just reboots and then comes up with 80010017

Try deleting the Game Data.

If it doesn't help, try Rebuild Database from Recovery menu.

If I flash my ofw 3.55 slim with this, can I later revert to 3.55 via the restore menu, if I needed to? Just trying to figure it out before i flash it. Don't want to have to go the downgrading route at some later point.

You can but install KMEAW firmware first (to dehash your system) then install ToggleQA, then install Rogero firmware via recovery mode.

yes by using the provided 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader pup (reads 4.40 when installed) you can quite easily downgrade back to 3.55

Yes, but also the system doesn't restart after you run QA from XMB.
The ps3 frozes on black screen and you got to unplug the cord, plug it again and tur on the sistem.

How long did you wait when the screen went black? I've done so much over the last couple of days, but at a couple of different times after applying different settings, the screen would go black and I would think it froze, but it didn't. I'd go out for a smoke and come back in and all would be well.....

Somtimes you just have to be patient

EDIT: Just read your post above. I downgraded to 3.55 using the 999 downgrader and then installed qa, then went to rebug 3.55 REX and then onto 4.21 REX

- The PS3~dev_blind.zip fix is now Pre-patched in the PUP itself.
- Fixed the bug of "Corrupted Data" on installation from Recovery encountered by some users.
- Added the Cinavia Disabled files into the PUP.
- Updated multiMAN to the latest 04.10.00 build in the package.
- Added the new simple to install PlayStation home fix to the package too.
