Only fixes issues with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD?
Sony has announced a new minor PS3 FW update releasing on Monday night, supposedly just fixing an issue with MHP 3rd HD...
The PlayStation 3 will get a new Firmware Update, and v4.31 will be minor and optional, and supposedly will only address an issue with 'Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD' (only available in Japan), as announced by Sony earlier this week on Twitter, and here is the official info:
Hi everyone,
Im posting this message to inform you that there will be a minor firmware update (v.4.31) released on the evening of Monday, October 29th.
There will not be PlayStation Network maintenance during this time; online play and access to apps will not be affected during the release of this update.
This is not a mandatory update. However, we suggest you keep your systems updated with the latest firmware, as these updates further improve overall system stability and help provide you with the best online entertainment experience possible.
To update to v.4.31, select Settings from your Xross Media Bar (XMB) > System Update > Update via Internet and then follow the on-screen instructions.

To all of users using CFW 4.30 be careful, you might be accidentaly update your system and loose your beloved homebrew at the moment so be safe!

That truly made me lol....I definitely don't envey your position and the many noobs you will have to yell at.
While i am on the site, bring them noobs as i am patient with them most of the time (96%) i would say .
Not saying others are not patient but i stand by anyone who wants to help them out hehe.
Any OFW stability issues fixed is worth the trouble don't you think PB , give us an indication on how fast we get to the next CFW update ie is 4.31 using the same keys as 4.21 etc.
From that forum link (thanks to that user on the forum there) it fixes something for MHP 3rd HD

I'm curious...now that bootldr keys are leaked, what's to stop Sony from changing offsets and obfuscation techniques and releasing a new FW every few days? With the amount of time it takes to RE the FW after decrypting, it seems like that would work out well for them. Am I missing something?

Nothing, but theres nothing to stop it from being reversed engineered either. Would be a cat & mouse game (no reference to picture in earlier post)

haha i can already hear all the fanboy losers over at the official ps3 sites ,whining and blaming the scene and da evil haxors and piwates from here,especially since lvo news went kinda mainstream ,so i doubt $ony is going to bother releasing mandatory fw updates every week or whatever
