Yes, I was tired of getting trophy errors so i just deleted the trophy folder and created an empty one. bahahahah

I never use trophies. I delete them every time they get installed. Annoying as hell.
Trust, encouragement, reward, loyalty... satisfaction. That's what I'm... you know. Trust people and they'll be true to you. Treat them greatly, and they will show themselves to be great.
Never understood these people that post 'Can i get on psn, i just need to sync my trophies' what do they need to do that for? Can you get a free mug or something?
Recently I was thinking if there was anyway to just turn trophies off. So I just delete the contents of the TROPDIR folder and I'm good to go?
They are nonsense busy work that disturbs the games. I'm a minimalist kind of person myself so all this extra crap just annoys the hell out of me; simplicity is the way to play like the good old days.
If there were only trophies for truly interesting and unique discoveries that would be cool, but they are mostly for doing stuff you would expect to do in the games.

Omg you just reminded me of the early days of the PS3 Scene back when we used dongles, and there was a hack that came out around that time allowing people to unlock all the trophies. And there were people that actually truly cared for that hack /facepalm.
No you can't just delete them. The game won't boot if it can't read the trophy file. You can't even hollow them out with a hex editor :[

Damn it, so there's no hack to just turn off trophies .
I've always been surprised there isn't an official option to switch them off. But I suppose Sony wants to encourage trophy obsession and not let developers efforts at creating them go to waste.
Back in the early days of the scene I could've sworn the trophies weren't working on some games backed up. Unless I'm mixing up trophies not syncing (PSN) with trophies not working.
Back in the day, some PS3 games didn't have them. Like Eternal Sonata. But if the eboot has a call to load the trophy, then it has to be there or else no go on the game.
Sony needs to make it an option, to disable them. I hate them with a passion.
