    Recovery Menu and OtherOS..

When I try to access the recovery menu, it boots into OtherOS.
Ive got it to boot into recovery once but I dont actually know what I did different (nothing as far as I can tell)

Basically hold power button until it shuts off, press and hold again until I get 2 beeps.. It should go to the recovery menu but instead goes to OtherOS :S
Is there some trick Im not aware of or am I a noOb

this worked fine while having this problem back
understand you have this on Rebug 4.21.1 unintentionally clicked the OtherOS option without having OtherOS setup ?

try the video reset - force GAMEOS boot

    Code:
** force the GameOS to boot ** To force the PS3 to boot into the GameOS
shutdown the PS3, then press and hold the power button on the front of the system until a beep is heard, then release the power button.
The video mode and boot flag settings will be re-set to the defaults and the GameOS will boot.

boot_gameos.pkg resets the flag, but you have to use it before you shut down the console. Boot_gameos can also be run from linux or if you choose boot gameos from the petitiboot menu, but then you have to wait for gameos to boot which is the long way around if you really just want to shut down the console. I suppose it's useful if to avoid changing the video settings or to avoid the first time shock from gameos not booting when you turn on the console. For slim owners it avoids the shock of the red power light going off when shutting down from linux. (oh no, which step did I screw up).
