yep. SEN and XboxLive are different products than the PS3 Console and Xbox360 Console. You can play the bootlegs on your game system, but you should never expect to remotely be able to connect to someone else's service/product with them. Connect to PSN with bootlegs = bye bye and you don't even get to complain.

That is the same notice that PSN sent out for 3.55 and people have been playing on PSN ever since with backups without issue (with the exception of the odd cheater getting caught). Not saying that it's safe, just saying in this case, a copy and paste out of a google search doesn't prove a thing in regards to the OP which is why he is unable to provide a screenshot and or pic of the error he is getting when logging into PSN with his PS3.
Just an FYI, he says he gets the exact same message on his ps3 as he did in the email which we all know is BS. On the PS3, you get a very short message, followed by the error code.
I never said i got the same message on ps3 i said i got the account banned , I checked my email after to see if it was just the account and it wasn't it was the system, Why they didn't just say the console is banned i don't know, I went to the trouble of making a new account only to be told the system was banned , Whats so hard for you to believe ? The fact that i got banned from psn isnt a hard thing to believe surely ? Im not saying I believe you or not but take the screenshot.. open the pic up in mspaint or some kind of editing program and crop out your private dektop stuff.
If you did get banned Im guessing you must have either cheated or taken CoD online early.
If last time is anything to go by they send an email first asking you to stop and then ban. That is unless you take a leaked game online or cheat.
M$ is the same like that.
