Sorry but I have to say this because it is the biggest load of bullshit (Not the cfw but the keyset claim).
'whilst integrating the 4.30 keysets'
There is no 4.3x keysets.. keys are the same as 4.20 '0x1C'
I'm not disagreeing here at all, it's just I don't know any better so maybe you can explain it to me......
If it is the same keyset, then why is it that I'm on your CFW (4.21) and games are signed with 4.25+ keys we either have to use an update signed with lower keys or resign the eboot to get it to work. What piece of the puzzle am I missing?
I generally don't get into all of this as it really is above my level of understanding and typically just accept it as is, but it's time I learned something new now that I have the basics under me (I think)
Is there really any advantage to upgrading to 4.31? sony didn't make 4.31 a mandatory upgrade its optional. 4.30 should be just fine until sony forces a mandatory firmware upgrade.

I too thought there were different appldr keys for 4.25 - 4.30, if these were integrated into 4.21 by SGK team I could see the point of having a 4.31 CFW, saying that im sure if team Rebug say the keys are the very same in this then im sure they are right, maybe there is some mix up between firmware encryption keys and appldr keys?
"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!"

Cyberskunk explained this to me in the rebug thread. It's not just about the keys, there are other things that check the fw version to see if the game is allowed to run on that fw....
