007 Legends controller problem

My left stick won't work a certain direction (diagonal left/up) and thats it everything else works, tried different configs in game and w/disc external/internal, different usb ports etc
I can only assume its my 3rd party controller but never had where just one direction doesnt work, its always the entire controller wont work. Also played COD BO2 all the way through another newer activision game no problems.

This controller never has had problems so just wondering if a "bad rip" (i doubt) can make one direction on the controller not work bahahahah yeah right!

Well let me know people who have 007 Legends

(anyway its kind of deal breaker as you use the left stick to move and have to dodge enemies constantly, cant reconfigure in game because the only option is to switch it to aim also dealbreaker)

EDIT: I wonder if theres something in debug mode to enable 3rd party controllers or if dex itself will work, like i said no problems before with this controller)

I haven't read any reports of this before you, but I'll spend the time to grab a copy (since I do want to play it anyway, and any excuse to bump it in cue is welcomed ) and test to see if I get any issues with it using my sony controllers

which region ID is it? BLUS or BLES?

Played fine on 3.55, not tested in on 4.21 yet can do when home

BLUS30983 and Im on Rebug 421 CEX

Has anyone had a 3rd party controller not work properly on certain firmware then work on another?

Also the problem is with both sticks (diagonal left/up doesnt work)

I've since tried on rebug 3.55.3 same thing happens (with unsane eboot)
Tried EU unsane eboot same thing
Tried on 421 with 101 update same thing

Might try KMEAW and rebug DEX as well.

Tried on KMEAW and again same problem. I now may try besides DEX to get the EU version of the game as I dont want to buy a 60 dollar sony controller for just one game as my other controller works fine on
everything else.

Also digital spooker (or anyone else) for you to test properly being you have sony controllers you'd have to get the same rip as me INSOMNIA.

If your controller doesnt have same problem then its my controller (which im sure it is anyway)
If it does have the same problem its the rip.

Also if anybody has the 3rd party controller with P3 on the home button (quite common) and has 007 legends that would be of great assistance as well.

Sorry mate just tried it on 4.21 no go just boots back to XMB, tried the 4.20 update and still doesnt boot guess its more than the eboot.

All i can say is it was working fine on 3.55 with original controller, BLUS copy i think

Ummm, thats not even my problem. I can get the game to work on 421 and 355 mine works without update with 4.31 spoof (BLUS INSOMNIA rip) my problem is the controller. Weird yours wont work on 421? well anyway thats a whole other problem and in no way helps me, but thanks for trying.

Did you try with it plugged in or only free balling? Don't know if you have a ps2 controller, but you could use one of those (plugged in usb with adaptor, I got one used for about $3).

I tried plugged into ps3 port, Hub ports, wireless, also have another 3rd party wired controller that didnt work at all. I used to break a lot of controllers so i had to start buying 20 dollar ones, i think i have a ps2 controller but think its 3rd party as well as Ive broke all my original sony ones

lol. Trying to remember what the insides look like... is it possible to put the $ony electrics in the phony mechanicals or vice versa? Course if you don't already have the adaptor, that's a lot of trouble for something that may not work.

No, I know how to work on controllers have since I was a kid, I've switched out a few. Here's Sony for you: I've had official sony american and chinese dual shock and just six axis (obviously six axis and dual shock housing are different), they make very slight changes so its a bitch to switch them especially with the shoulder/trigger buttons and of course the 3rd party ones aren't the same either.

So regardless of all that, my sony ones are shot, for awhile I was using one to charge a battery of another one where the plastic piece crap part of the mini-B end broke out.

Was a bit pissed last night dont think i ever installed the update, did download it though!!

Anyway replaced the original eboot and let mman fix it, works fine now, mine is BLES01614, controls work fine with an original controller, dont have 3rd party to test. So must be your controller having problems
