I feel REALLY stupid right now. About this part,

Shift+ENTER on a EBOOT/SELF/SPRX file, will extract the unsigned ELF file (if the keys and klicensee are available).
How the hell do I use this shortcut and where does the eboot have to be ??

I'm trying to get to the elf file from the eboot.bin of lastGAME3.pkg just to look at it to see if I can make some forwarders for games from the XMB. I extracted the .pkg and got the eboot. Now I'm wondering how to use this to extract/convert to elf.

I had started a thread about this a year ago, but the replies I received just led to more questions and apps that are WAY out of date. So I'm looking in to it myself (not that I'd know what I'm looking at but still). I know I could use the scetools from a command prompt, but I would like to use this as it seems to have a lot of useful tools.

If someone could help me or knows of an UP-TO-DATE app that makes these forwarders, PLEASE point me in the right direction.

    Thank you,
    CloneD

    Hello CloneD:

These keyboard shortcuts are performed from Windows Explorer (eg. My Computer -> E:\ -> GAMES -> BLUS12345 -> USRDIR).
There is also an equivalent for the shortcut using the right click menu over the file or folder, but I rarely use them due keyboard shortcuts are more productive

    NOTE:
The PKG_ContentID.exe should be executed at least once with Administrative privileges (right click -> Run as Administrator) or with UAC disabled.
Once you run it, the program associate several file extensions to PKG_ContentID (eg. SPRX, SELF, BIN, PKG, etc.), allowing the tool to manage these files directly from Windows Explorer.

They can be located in any folder, example: their original location in GAMES folder of the USB drive.

BTW, although the version is still the same, I have updated the PKG_ContentID.exe to fix an issue resigning Showtime for 4.xx

Thank you for the reply and the hard work you've put in on this collection of tools, that helped a bit. However I don't get an option to convert to elf, I get an option to convert to fself which is done and original is renamed and the bin is left. Do I rename this .bin to .elf or ???

Sorry, I really feel like a noob right now. I really don't want led around by the hand but I do feel a little helpless.

EDIT: I should have mentioned, I know a little about coding, not so much on how to get to it other than Notepad++ or a few obvious conversions/tools.

EDIT2: I'll figure it out when I got more time to do more searches. I got to get some sleep right now as I have an early morning tomorrow. Thanks again.
