Kmeaw custom firmware - Get it here

Thought I`d make a start... If you don`t already have the most widely used/known CFW then get it here...

This is all over the internet but I thought it would give someone a safe place to get it from. If someone has already done this here then I apologise

MD5/SHA-1 has been confirmed by myself. Download the file checksum tool from CNET to double check checksums...

    CHECKSUM TOOL: ... http://download.cnet.com/File-Checks...l?tag=mncol;10

    the MD5 should be: ... 2be5e87a22bf1e7f48e98fcabd38977b

    the SHA-1 should be: ... f83444560221ffba4ed0e0689fbc2cf993dc64ec

    Multiupload link: ... http://www.multiupload.com/O3Q500HLX9

Remember you CANNOT downgrade from 4.00+ with this

Place in thumb drive PS3/UPDATE folder - Install from recovery mode or from service mode/jig

I feel i owe you another thank you pikeytrog for with out this i would have had to worry about the quality of the CFW i was getting, I was force to switch from WutangRZA's excellent firmware because of a bad bd lens. so thanks for making this easy to find and worry free!!!

so.. I've got a 'slight' issue (see: god dammit) when I try to install this (via recovery menu) it tells me that 'no applicable update data was found. I've tried both USB slots, the USB stick is formatted to fat32.

Decided to upgrade from 3.41 to 3.55CFW, went to 3.55OFW, but it wont let me continue into CFW.. any help?

(ps. sorry for necro-ing the thread)
    Console: PS3 Slim 120GB HDD <02.23.2010>
    Firmware: 4.30 CFW
    CFW: Roger0's v2

Mmm, can't you change the firmware via starting up the PS3 normally and updating it from there?

Bizarrely enough, I have never had that issue before when I swapped firmware versions before, so I don't know why you are experiencing that issue!
