Sounds like Cobra pulled a Rogero! (Blue Disk), I'm not badmouthing, I'm glad they did Cobra is trusted y2k or whatever isn't.

Maybe not, regardless i wasnt really thinking about purchasing this, but now cobra is involved, that has changed.

LOL what a way to put it HAHA, but I think the timing in which the ODDEs are announced is a tad awkward, because with the next generation rumors suggesting that the consoles (the next MS/Sony systems) might arrive next year and 2014 respectively - if the ODDEs were announced and released sooner (too late now - best timing would've been when the PS3 (warez) scene was at its crappiest state back in Q2 2011), then I would think that more people would be excited about this, and if the ODDEs are priced satisfactorily (that's subjective - most would probably pay GB£40 maximum, give or take £5-£10), then obviously, everyone would be excited and they will probably even pay for it.

Nothing against you, my mention of 'three posters' got sidetracked, as the first one didn't have the balls to leave his post, and deleted it after i posted mine, so that 'means only 2 left showing to the public.

    Sorry.

Well reDRM dongles and ODDEs are two different things - the latter though can only be (best) done via hardware, whereas the former doesn't really need hardware.

I still think its a bit late in the game but its always good to have competition.
Max obviously saw 3k3y and thought fuck them trying to cut in on my money making monopoly

Whoever gets theirs out first wins me thinks due to the limited customer base..

Still good for those who just wanna play their warez online and be risk free and safe!

Answer me this, how can HARDWARE be free?

An ODE is not a DRM dongle it is interface between the ps3 and blu-ray drive, making the PS3 think it is talking to the actual blu-ray drive, not HDD, allowing you to use ORIGINAL FIRMWARE.

Even if the 'scene' released the info for FREE on how to do this, like the Glitch'ing on the X360, you would still have to build a PCBoard, buy the parts and solder it together, and flash an asic with the code, it might be little cheaper but still would cost money.

There is already CFW for FREE, this device is just another option for those wishing to play backups using OFW.

No one is forcing you to read this topic or buy this hardware.

Again it is not dongle. -- As for updating the firmware for cobra-usb dongle, i heard it was in the works, not sure if any update, i will ask.
I'll stick to my cobra usb. I'm sure this ODDE will be great, but just because it is by Cobra, doesn't mean I'll change my tune.
I will say, that if Cobra is in the ODDE game though, 3Key may have just lost it. We know it's weaknesses. And Cobra has a chance to overcome them. If they work with things like direct disc ripping, and getting the drive key, Then they will win that ordeal hands down. Still, as I said, chances are an odde is not needed. If cobra usb didn't exist then maybe it would work, but as it is now, it still seems to be paying more for less. Why would I ever want to give up everything for OFW? Why would anybody really give up any functionality? And I assume that this odde will also play ps1 and ps2 (for bc consoles) games at least, but cobra usb already does that. And it doesn't work with other homebrew either same as the 3key. And if the point is to play on psn, it still seems irrelevant. New cfw works with psn just fine. Nobody who hasn't cheated or played games early has been banned yet and they may not ever be banned. And the stealth of either odde has been proven, meaning you may be just as likely to get banned especially since in Sony's eyes there's even less legitimate excuses. They will go after this even more.

    If cobra said this...

Cobra-ODE for playing all your backup PS3 Blu-Ray Game Disc Images directly from any HDD without the need to have your PS3 console on 'custom firmware'
Then all of PS3 owner w/ 3k+ model has a chance to play backup games w/ Cobra ODDE, ATM lets wait for their official announcement. After all it is great if you have an option like this right?
