Thanks for clearing that up.
ZOMBIEKILLAH too said that his dlc would work only after copying a PSN act.dat (he got his off his other ps3).
bdaddy has said that he will try to activate some more rap files and post his results.
Maybe you could follow up after that.
Also, I read your tutorial when you posted it. It's good however it's good cause you (luckily) quoted people who knew what they were talking about (sometimes even these "reputable" people are wrong, like myself ) So that's why it's good to test yourself as well to verify what you have read and to also possibly learn new things that haven't been revealed to the rest of "scene". Cheers

Saw this and it really helped me out as i had no act.dat and couldnt download shit of PSN, Seen a few posts around interweb regarding the 80029519 error, and I only found one solution, which took a bit to find but what a gem. so big thanks to @talibo @ Rogero @TortugaCove
I was on @Rogero`s 4.30 CFW .v2.03, Using @Deank MultiMan ver 04.16.00 BASE (20121214)
Worked out a solution, to keep my protected savegames, trophies and fix error 80029519 while activating purchased game on PS Store
Here's what i did using CFW 4.30 :
1.Install Multiman, will serve as FTP server and file manager
2.Login to PSN, and sync your trophies
3.Create a new user account(on ps3 not psn)
4.Using FTP server go to hdd0/home/0000000X (your profile having error)
5.Rename the profile that is having the error to /0000000Y (Y being any number other than the two profiles there)
6.Turn off ps3
7.Enter the ps3 recovery menu and Rebuild the database
8.Activate game for the account, test dling/activating purchase game/dlc from PS Store
9.Login your spare user account you created earlier
10.With file manager, /hdd0/home/ (you will notice that there are now 3 accounts 0000000X(rebuilt database account),0000000Y(original renamed account with your files),000000Z(the spare account)
11.Copy savedata folder from hdd0/home/0000000Y (original renamed) to hdd0/home/0000000X (new rebuilt account)
12.Rebuild database again using recovery menu
13.Login with your account, check if game saves are there, even test loading a protected save game in-game to be sure ( Bayonetta for instance )
14.That's it, from now you can delete folder hdd0/home/0000000Y or keep it as a backup just in case, no rush there

Interesting, I had the same error at one point. However I just backed up trophies, saves etc and made a new account then logged back into my old PSN account. Also on totally seperate occasion, I had some problems with rebug (at least) using recovery menu when I had corrupt files (not saying it's the same thing) but I ended up having to format internal. I just mention this as I would be afraid to rebuild database on rebug (only problem I've ever had with the CFW) Recovery options works fine, unless there is actually a problem, for me anyway. Hopefully it was a one time freak ordeal.
Cyberskunk already knows about it, problem is to test whats wrong we'd have to recreate the problem which is basically & purposefully screwing up your ps3 to test

alright, i got it to activate and download, but when i exited and went into multiman so i could see if the act.dat was there. its not, not even a exdata folder.
edit-
alright so - activated system - download dlc - now i have a act.dat yay!
but now i can not get react to activate, /sigh
i made a account named aa
put the raps and what not on usb in folder exdata,
downloaded this new reactpsn
ran it
it changed the aa user name but still no difference.
Hi Piratan, have you already sucessful in reactPSN. I have the same problem as yours but I still think to go online.
To Patrick, I never goes to PSN and used to be on Rebug 3.55.2, upgrade to Rebug TB, then to Arch TB on all of them I was able to use react.
Right now I am on Rogero 4.30 v2.03 and it doesn't work still.
Any ideas why on those 3.55 CFW it works although never goes online, but on 4.30 don't?

Is it because of the CFW itself?
I'm guessing your sony act.dat erased itself when went to 4.30, sometimes after changing firmware the act.dat erases itself. Part of th VSH patch is supposed to prevent that from happening, but I can't recall exactly as that may just be for not erasing it on reboot.
Anyway, I bet your PSN act.dat is gone. Perhaps, you logged into PSN on 3.55 at some point back then I don't think you had to download anything to get act.dat Pardon me for sounding harsh, why does it matter? I gave you the solution for new CFW go one PSN ONE TIME and download something FREE that needs activation. You'll then have your act.dat and BACKITUP off internal ps3 HD.
In 3.55 days I backed up my act.dat one time i never had to go on PSN again, in fact I'm still using that SAME 3.55 act.dat on 4.21+ because I had a backup.

great toys to play with...me to wanna play..thx for posting guys
hey @PatrickBatman
i was aware you had bad experience with Rebug and the Rebuild database option, this must be a 1 time only or something.... because used(let's see after posting about it...lol) the Rebuild database option on Rebug many times on either a NOR fat and slim for different ocassions but every time working fine just as when a hard reset is required/corrupt files....it fixes it without a problem..whatever caused it must be bad luck....you can use the option (although some states it "can" corrupt the HDD on some weird occasions).... safely in my view with REBUG ...and ofcourse thx for the rebuild ReactPSN pkg

You do mean Rebug 4.21 right? I never used any Rebug's other than this one. If you do mean you've used rebuild database etc with actually HD problems many times, then good to know. However, if you've had to use recovery options SEVERAL TIMES on just Rebug 4.21 alone already, I feel sorry for you

yes i mean Rebug 4.21.1 and using Rebuild database, this ofcourse because testing some stuff required a "rebuiild database" and some test pkg's or games that black screens and needs hard reset
on some of them the PS3 complains about file system corrupt as it does on ALL CFW messing arround..not only Rebug 4.21.1
don't feel sorry for me i don't need it a full format ---HDD that can suck indeed but whatever it was..it isn't Rebug 4.21.1 causing it 100%
This is great that they have a tool like this, for whatever reason, I just can't wrap my head around it. Maybe I'm just tired and will give it a go tomorrow when the kids are at school and I can concentrate. I suppose I'm doing myself a dis-service by reading through all of the threads and trying to piece together bits and pieces but I can't seem to find a straightforward tutorial for 4.21 that I can follow from start to finish, they all seem to be missing a step here or there (or maybe it's just me....lol ).
Trying to get Crazy Taxi and Final Fantasy VII going. I've got reactpsn installed, created exdata on usb but that's about where I'm at. I was following a tut (which I can't seem to find again) that said you have to copy your act.dat (can't remember where from/where to) and something about creating a "aa" account that should automatically get renamed to ReactPSN but it doesn't. I have no idea where to get these rap or rif files (read somewhere that you create them with your act.dat or something).
Do you have to repeat all this stuff whenever you install a new psn title? I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this as I can generally follow instructions easily and am no dummy, but this whole thing is just very confusing to me for some reason......I blame the kids yammering in my ear every two seconds but today, I just feel like an idiot!
