Thanks/Rep Button???

Thanks / Rep button? Would give people an incentive to help others more and not just leech info etc... But then again, what do I know!

THANKS button has been added.

The mod also has tons of options, I can turn it off in certain groups, make sure certain forums like NEWS it can only work on the first post.

I can ban users from using it, ones that do it for no reason, click thanks on everything.

I can also set it to not work on posts that X number of days.

You can even UN-THANK if you hit it by mistake, or just want to be mean and take it away from the poster!

For now, it is ON and working, and we adjust it as need be over time as the crunching forums grow in usage.

Good thing I forgot about this post of mine, thanks for jogging my memory, I will have to look into these options again!

Good thing I didn't add a rule about NOT THANKING ENOUGH, as I would had to ban myself, with only 153 thanks given!

Only time I go into the 'thank mod, and mess around with it' was to remove THANKS for banned users that had nasty names in them, like those many troll accounts you banned, even after a user is banned, their thanks stay, which is not a problem unless the reason you are banning them was because of their 'nickname they had choosen upon signup' --- Ok, I am rambling on now, time to find a cup of coffee!

Now that you mention it, you have to think about implementing the "NOT THANKING ENOUGH" rule now!
