IrisManager v1.25 Released - Now Compatible with v4.xx Firmwares
Iris Manager is back from the dead, just like almost every 2K11-released homebrew!
D_Skywalk, with assistance from Estwald, has managed to release IrisManager v1.25 for use on v4.xx firmwares, which is deemed an inevitability, considering the fact that v4.21/v4.30 firmwares have been released, with applications that have been created in 2010 such as Comgenie's Awesome File Manager now being ported for post-3.55 CFW compatibility - this backup manager is ideal for those who like a minimalist approach with PS3 homebrew as a whole, but for those that are comfortable with multiMAN, especially seeing as multiMAN was the only backup manager that was constantly being updated, even during the so-called PS3 warez scene stagnancy, then it may not be deemed as a must-have application for those who fall into the pro-multiMAN group.
This does indeed look nice and polished. It's always a great thing to have an alternative and if you're looking for something more simplistic that say maybe someone who doesn't know much about the PS3 (a child maybe?) this could fit right in. It's always good to have competition and like with the HBC for the Wii there's also an attractive alternative for that still under active development. However, I doubt this tool could surpass MultiMan, but I don't think it's meant to.
I used to use iris manager but since multiman is 100% epic now i never use iris manager anymore
Although it would be interesting to see if Dskywalk & Estwald will work on iris manager now
a possibile interesting commit on the gitorious dev: new psn/homebrew mode by Estwald
so it could become intersting if they're gonna start working on iris manager now
