What took Sony so long? I barely play my PS3 online enabled games due to frakking cheaters. I hope this will at least slow them down from accessing the servers and for the others the TOS clearly states the results of using hacked content on PSN. No remorse here either. CFW in its nature is flawed and this is a prime example.

After reading this news i started up my OFW console and made a new user and logged in to PSN
with the account of my CFW console.
No problem logging in, so i know my account isn't banned yet
Maybe its only console ban?
Maybe account/console gets banned when trying to log on from now on
Maybe not everyone with CFW is banned automatically
i'm just curious as i only use psn to check my pinball scores lol

Those people won't be stopped by this. And this isn't really what these bans are for. It's just a muscle flex to act tough. When it comes to any actual problems, that tends to be up to the developers to fix. And rarely do they fix things at least long term.
been on holiday and come back to this my console is all good i been playing it for ages just used a stealth ninja deleted all the logs and then made it right protect the logs and im not banned been playing mw3 all the time
It's about bloody time. AFAIK they've hardly done any banning of hacked PS3s up until this. Compared with the notorious 360 ban waves, we've had it easy.
Funny thing to note, I just tried to sign into the PSN store and I didn't get a ban notice, but I got a software update is required and then it proceeded to try and get me to download the 4.31 OFW update. I'm on Rebug 4.21 and never saw this message before with it. I did "update" to Rogero 4.30 and back down to rebug as I need the dummy-bdemu to run some games......IDK maybe that screwed with the spoofer on Rebug?

Which Rogero 4.30 version did you use? Subversion 2.03 (yes - that Lebanese dude went all out with the revisions) has the 4.31 spoof so you could try that.

I seem to remember that you have to turn the spoofer option on in Rebug, will check back in later/in the morning once the kids are in bed or gone to school but to answer your question, yes it was the 2.03 flavor of Rogero.
I really wish they could incorporate the dummy_bdemu into a cex FW like Rogero and then I can stop flip-flopping back and forth from CEX->DEX just to run a couple of games. Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate it as without it I wouldn't be able to play the few games that I actually care about.
Ya, total dumbass move, forgot that you have to turn Rebug mode on to spoof 4.31!! LOL
