i have some games that have to be played from the disk icon, im talking about backups on usb......i use stealth and keep homebrew off my xmb to look official, i found a way to just run them from the mm games list.....but if a game has to be run from the disk icon it looks like 2 of the same game in xmb cause of app/home, looks suspicious when online and not official....most of my games play from app/home and i dont keep a disk in....is there something in the games i can alter to make them play from app/home like the rest of my backups do?

The limitations are mainly due to the payloads/backup managers, so there's nothing you can realistically do about it - if a game doesn't run without a disc in the BD-ROM drive, then you can only wait for the backup manager/payload authors/coders to sort that out until it works without a disc in the drive.

I highly doubt Sony can monitor what your XMB looks like in real time (if they could, they'd certainly be able to just look at your internal hard drive and ban you for any homebrew they find), so really it wouldn't look suspicious at all except if you have someone from Sony infront of your PS3 looking at the screen.
Not to mention.. OFW doesn't have app/home so.. just having that would be suspicious when you have no game mounted..
anyway to address your answer... probably not, if a game has to be launched that way, then it has to be (otherwise people would have figured out how by now, especially those of whom have broken BD drives)
I assume Dean made it just so there'd be an official one, and not some persons random spin off that he ends up getting bug reports about.
You're more or less right - his exact reason was because he "didn't want to see fake stealth versions that either didn't work, or broke the functionality of the application"
ok thanx, could never get a good answer to that question, i get it now, im not gonna worry about what i have in xmb now, lol.......i play online a lot, i actually have to use the unbann program on one of my ps3's now, but works well.......so if i dont really have a friends list, just play against people there(i never did do friendslist really), theres no need for stealth cause its just for the friendslist thing, or is it stealthing u otherwise so they cant see if not on a friends list?
its was thiswhen i did the install that confused me, especially the first and last in it
Q: Why is it stealth?
A:
- It is not present in XMB (not present in /dev_hdd0/game/*)
- Each time the /app_home (* Install Package Files) gets different TITLE ID and TITLE NAME
- Every time you load a game it will change the TITLE of /app_home thus not looking suspicious
- You can use mM while your XMB looks totally OFW (with no homebrew installed which may be detected)
