3tb western digital hdd not being read by ps3 on rebug 4.21

can i do that with out losing the data as i know i can partion it and not risk losing the data well slight risk but not that big one

also what cluster size should i change it too ????

For PS3 the external HDD must be max. 2TB (formatted to fat32).
Internal HDD must be max. 1TB, because the firmware limits internal HDD to 1TB.

Just wondering anyones experience with a larger internal HDD - The e3 flasher website says the e-sata station can hold a 2.5TB hdd...
Has anyone got a 2TB HDD to load and reformat on a slim console via e3 flasher and e-sata station????

I could be wrong but I believe the largest internal drive you can have on a ps3 is 1TB because of a limit set in the FW.

had to change the cluster size to 16 megs for it to be read by the ps3 in case anyones wants to know for future reference
