EXCLUSIVE: Cobra Team is proud to announce the features of the COBRA ODE
Cobra Team is hard at work in the getting their PS3 ODE ready for a February launch
The Cobra team has recently contacted us with exclusive info on their upcoming new product the ODE - Optical Drive Emulator for the PS3 and just looking at the features, you can quickly see that it will be THE only PS3 ODE to purchase for your gaming needs!
Cobra ODE is THE optical drive emulator for PS3!
In the past Cobra brought ground breaking features and unparalleled support to the PS3 scene with its Cobra USB dongle.
Now we're back with the Cobra Optical Drive Emulator for PS3. Run game and movie ISO's from any PS3* without the need to restrict your console to running on a CFW. * Stocks of Cobra ODE will start shipping next month (February) *

Soon we could play PS3 backups on the 3K & the 4K PS3 !! This is the best PS3 news ever in 2013 until now !! thank you GaryOPA, thank you team Cobra & good luck guys !
This is a cool news! Can't wait to see this shipped out next month hopefully. Hopefully the key extraction work on those slim consoles that use Metldr2 and lv0.2 turns out ok on both 3k3y and this Cobra ODE.

no, we can't
they have absolutely no idea of how to extract the key via hardware so non exploitable console (any 3.55+ console) will not be able to work this ode!
it's a shame they write that they ODE is compatible with superslim models! it's obvious they're only looking to your money
PS3 ISO'S?????
Thats crap....i already have a bunch of backups i run on cfw that i would like to use with the ode without converting to another format...
I have a dual boot setup with an E3 that i would like to keep and add the ode for the ofw side of it.....Im definatly not bying one if they can't make this work with the backups i have in the format they're already in.

I'm sure it's not hard to convert your current folder-structure "backups" into ISOs
So, the wording is a little vague and deceptive. I don't know if they meant it to be deceptive or not or what their definition of "exploitable" is.
If by exploitable they mean that it's able to install CFW, then saying it's compatible with all models is straight out a bold-face lie but I don't think Cobra would do that. They've never promised something that didn't pan out, as far as I know.
I think by "exploitable" they mean that some of all models they have a way to get the key and some models are a little different and causing them difficulty. IE They can get the key from some super slims, but other super slims are giving them headaches. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.....
EDIT: I've sent an email asking for clarification.
