Banner CU3
Today while doing one of my regular visits to the forum, I noticed this banner.
Code Unique 3 , support CFW's 3.55, 4.21 , and 4.30 ?
Where is it?
Is this a joke?

Nope, sorry their website for CU3 will be up in about 2 days time.
Basically it is new form of Cheating Device for all firmwares.

Is it me or does THAT dongle remind me of a certain clone of a certain dongle that was spat on by a certain group of hostile children that had the behavioural traits of a butthurt wannabe suicidal bomber? Hmmmmmmm!
Ahhh screw it - I'm just gonna say it here - it sure as heck looks like the JB-King dongle!

but we reply them that we will test it and write a german review.
as an old bloody cheater that i be i am interested how this dongle is working.
it could be a good solution for cheater on cfw 4.30 no matter if it is an f...ing dongle.

LMAO talk about being lazy and cheap - mind if I buy them, spray them charcoal grey, and then brand them as a JB-King dongle so that I can hand them out to hackers without the makers of the dongle knowing what the fuck is going on?
Oh wait, mentioning my plans here isn't clever at all! Whoops!

Product: Code Unique3
Platttform: PS3 DRM Cheat Dongle
Release Date: expected 21. June 2013
Price: not known at the moment
Developer Homepage: CU3.hk
Product
The unique code 3 is a DRM cheat dongle. Based on a existing developer board similar to PSUSERCHEAT, P3Go or JBK dongles.
With the CU3 it is possible to cheat 3.60 + Games on 3.55/4.21/4.30 CFW´s either from internal or external hard drive.
CU3 now support inofficial .dat File made with Aldostools Cheat Editor or every Texteditor.
It also allows switching between official and unofficial .dat Files.
Requirement
For operation of Unique3 a CFW (3.55/4.xx) and the installation of the appropriate CU3.pkg (3.55/4.xx) is mandatory.
To load Games from HDD a Backup Manager (Multiman / Iris Manager) also neesd to be installed.
The Cheatcode Database files (cheatlist.dat / cheatlist.txt) have been copied in the root directory of a USB Devices.
Impression of the Hardware
PCB looks very professional like the most of the other dongle products in the past.
CU3 comes in the same Case as PS3UserCheat, P3Go and JBK, no wonder as CU3 has exctly the same PCB Assembly as JBK.
Would be a nice if somehow, someone would decide to release a CU3 Payload which could be flashed onto the old JBK dongles as they are only Paperweights at the moment.
Impression of the Software
The software for the CU3 is not flashed on the dongle this time.
It can be downloaded as .pkg File for CFW's (3.55/4.xx) from the Manufacturers Website.
On the dongle there is flashed only a DRM encrypted payload for CU3.
The CU3 TEAM has a sense of humor so they have taken Wallpaper/Backround Melody of Oct0xor's chracked Unique2.
The possibility to use own cheatlist.dat Database File and switch during operation is the main new feature of CU3.
Homepage, Manuals & Downloads
Manual, Video & FAQ's can be found on the Manufacturer's Website.
Also thera are Links to CU3.pkg'(3.55/4.xx) Software/ codelist.dat/codelist.txt & MutiMAN 04.18.00
The Instructions & FAQ's are held in English and understandable for poeple with simple Knowledge of English.
Manufacturer's Website: CU3.hk
Preparation of two Test Consoles
For the test, a europeanized CECHA00 750GB REBUG 4.21 REX and a 60GB CECH2500B Rebug 4.30 CEX with built in E3Flasher was taken.
A 500MB USB HDD with Games was taken, too.
On both Consoles the CU3.pkg (4.xx), MultiMan 04.18.00 & Iris Manager 2.00 were installed.
As Retail Disc in BR Drive Resistance Fall of Man (JAP) was used.
The current cheatlist.dat / cheatlist.txt were stored in the Root Directory of USB HDD & Thumpdrive Cruzer 4GB Cruzer.
The CodeUnique3 Dongle was plugged in, due to insufficient Space, in left USB Port of the Consoles.
Creating your own .dat Files
With Aldostools PS3 Cheats Editor it is possibble to generate and edit own . dat Files with unofficial Cheat Codes
The current PS3 Cheats PS3 Editor & many useful tools can be downloaded on Aldostools Homepage .
The best unofficial Codes of independent Hackers since Eons can be found at Codemasters-Project.net
On PS3Hax.net there is a Collection of Cheat Codes that is generated by PS3Haxer gingerbread with the PS3 Cheat Editor.
The Collection is constantly expanding and is mainly created with Codes which were published on CMP.
Operation of the CU3 / Codelists
To use the already installed CU3.pkg Software disconnect Console & plug in CU3 Dongle into a USB Port.
Into a another USB Port plug in a USBDevice with .dat Files in Root Directory downloaded from CU3 Website, an unofficial .dat File or both.
With & switch between official and own Codelists
With or switch between Codelist & Gamelist.
Operation of the CU3 / Game Installation & Cheat Selection
So there are no Problem after Cheat Selection it is better to install Gamedate before start cheating with CU3
It is important Cheats are fit with right Game Update because some Codes sometimes did not work with newer Updates.
It is better to try just one Cheatcode first as the combining of different codes can lead to crashes.
Operation of the CU3 / Start
When booting PS3 with plugged CU3 a warning is shown that an unknown USB device is connected.
This warning can be ignored as it is normal in this case.
Now the CU3.pkg software starts and the initialization process can started with .
Remember, jumps back to XMB, it is Asian Buttonbehavoir.
Depending on what .dat File/s (officia/inofficial) are on the USBDevice the Initial Process takes between 1 & 2 minutes.
After Codelist/s is updated on CU3 the .dat File/s will be deleted on the USBDevice.
After successful initialization the CU3 jumps to the selection menu.
If inofficial .dat files were updated shut down PS3 and restart it.
Operation of the CU3 / Start with Backup Manager
To start Games from HDD with CU3 a Backup Manager (Multiman , Iris Manager) must be installed & loaded before running CU3 Software.
Also a retail Game Disc have to be present in BR Drive of the Console.
Used Backup Manager only have to boot, no need to select a Game. It can be exit. (Mutiman: , Iris Manager: ).
Back in XMB CU3 have to be start after that push . Now, CU3 is initialized with the dongle and then jumps to the selection menu.

Successfully tested Games from internal/external HDD
- Mortal Kombat
- Bulletstorm
- Devil May Cry 4
- Assasins Creed II
- Kingdom of Amalur
What i think about CU3
The CU3 is a commercial DRM Dongle there is no way out, no matter if you like it or not.
The Option to use official/unofficial Code is a Step into right Direction.
The Release Date 21. June 2013 could mean the Maker of CU3 want see if there are User who want their Dongle before the come out with it.
Lets wait if the Encryption is good enough to prevent CU3 to be cracked very fast.
I believe this Dongle could have a future if there are some more Options/Things to do, like
- OFW Support
- Codeupdates with own Codes
- Credits for Hacker (very important !!!)
- new Option (For Example: Downloadable Database)
- Customer Support & Service (very important, too !!!)
The german Twin of this Preview can be found here .
Made by a psX tools.de Console Ethusiast to share it with Console Enthusiasts !!!
