Hey guys,
today I just got Ni No Kuni (it was just released today in Germany). I have a PS3 with an CFW (I think it was... 3.55? It was quite some time). Now, this game will surely have a new OFW on it and I would ahve to install it to play, deleting my CFW, right? Is there a possibility to play my new original game while keeping my CFW?
I don't own the game so I don't know what keys the eboot is signed with but try installing a 4.21/4.30 CFW. If the games eboot is signed with keys equal to or lower than the ones of the FW you have installed, you can play from disc.
get the firmware from that rebug.me link, and make sure you dont have a disc in the drive when installing it.
PS3 Slim w/ Rebug Rex 4.30.2, 500GB Internal, 1TB/3TB External; PS2 Fat McBoot w/ Hard Drive; Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Last game finished: The Last of Us | Currently Playing: Metro Last Light
Thanks for all your replies. I am now on Regoero 4.30 (it was just one single file install/upgrade from my 3.55 CFW) and Ni No Kuni runs like a charm. NOw I only need to update my MultiMan so it will run again too.
Since I have the limited edition with DLC codes: is there a way to go online with CFW at the moment? I mean, can I go into the store and buy/download stuff like normal?

Yes you can log in, be quick and grab everything you can on the one log in session, just in case you get banned. The likelihood of being banned is very, very slim though.
