After a month of Geohot being MIA on the 'net, following his settlement with Sony and their lawsuit against him after releasing his famous Keys Open Doors. George Hotz seems to have surfaced on Facebook and is possibly working for them.
Hotz was originally sued over the release of the Playstation 3 master keys, cracking the console wide open much like he did with the iPhone that got him tons of press coverage.
But instead of one of big 3 gaming companies grabbing his brain to make their products more secure, he was all long being courted by Mark Zuckerberg, and today we find out the truth for sure, he is now one of the hired guns over at Facebook!
Fellow jailbreak hacker Joshua Hill (p0isixNinja to his chums) made the claim in an interview (reposted here). This lead a few folk to go rummaging about on the interwebs, digging up a post on Hotz's own Facebook page in which he apparently announced his new career direction to his chums. He seems to have said that 'Facebook is really an amazing place to work.'
There is also now rumors he was originally hired by Facebook to work on their future ipad2 app, that they were not planning to do, but suddenly are now. So now the truth is out, he is just one of many people over at Facebook slaving away for a weekly paycheque. -- We all in the PS3 'scene', will still miss what he done for us, and sadly noone been able to fill his shoes yet, and most likely there will never be another Geohot, I just hope he loves what he doing for a regular job now.
This is good for the guy , he helped open the door for us PS3 users. We should all congratulate him and let him get on with his life.
Sorry but i have to disagree with that, he passed through the door, he didnt help in any way to open it, it was well and truly open before he made his CFW

True but he did help us out with the jailbreak did he not? Yes the tools were out there but his CFW turned the tables for the PS3 did it not?

No, he had zero input in the "jailbreak", PS Jailbreak already had that covered, followed by the PSGroove guys and KaKaRoTo's PSFreedom, then fail0verflow with their work which ripped the PS3 completely open, only for GeoHot to come in to try and steal some thunder, he would never have accomplished anything had it not been for segher(not sure if that spelled correctly) and fail0verflow.

I am not going to argue with you since you are the big time news guy on ps3hax , but at the same time some people don't like some people and obviously you don't like geohotz and you could make this into a flame thread instead of a news thread , we could argue all day same with the math bullshit but I will hold back as you know all and you win

I have respect for GeoHot as i do for anyone that has helped/contributed in the scene, do i like his egotistical behavior, no i don't, but i don't dislike him.
