I am sure many are about to upgrade to CFW 4.21 and was thinking about the best way to do this considering all the TB games need to be repatched.
For games with an update, would updating them to the latest version via the console when prompted then update the required files for 4.21 to an official state (i.e official eboot etc)?
Would it also update various .self files etc that have been patched by TB?
I am hoping for most games while on TB CFW I can just update them to the latest version (obviously wont work on TB anymore) then move onto CFW 4.21 and they will work.
I am guessing that patching these games through updates via the PS3 while on CFW 4.21 would not work cause they wont even boot with a TB patch
on it.
Any thoughts on the above? ]]>
I'm currently on TB CFW and have been for a while, but I'll be eventually moving onto any new CFW that comes out. My question is regarding all the games I was playing with the true blue dongle. Any chance those games with TB eboots will work on any new CFW? Or will I most likely have to replace all those eboots with their originals? ]]>
I've been out for the last couple of months of this "DRM scene", and now I've came back. I started reading the forums and news and I've also checked the PS3SceneFiles patches; the last one being from June.
From what I understand, TB died because the protection mechanism was duped or something like that... am I right? So, no more releases from them?
I read about the CEX -> DEX conversions, seems like quite some messing to the console, since I like being as OEM as possible. Also, I haven't read yet how DEX play games, if by other special "DEX Eboots" that another group releases; similar to TB.
Also read about another CFW different from KMEAW available (can't remember the name) and recently checked over the 4.21 CFW rumors that it may release soon.
Lastly, the 3KEY announcement of the hard mod expected on 12-12-12.
So... here is the question: where did you go to, people that had / have TB; where did you migrate too? Is anybody still on the 3.55 TB firmware? What is the best choice to move on to in order to be able to play as most games as possible?

I'm running trublue cfw 2.7 and I intend to stay with it for a while until I switch to dex. Right now I'm trying to play tekken tag 2 but there's now way for me to manage to boot it.
i tried changing the eboot and/or intall the pkg fix but it doesn't make a difference. Does anyone know why?

ive got a E3 downgraded slim ps3 and ive just bought a trueblue dongle so i can run the newer games
my question is what firmware update do i install as from what i have read the standard true blue update pup is no good, it recommends i use the no check update pup but i cannot find anywhere wher i can download this
has anybody installed a true blue dongle on a downgrade console and can give me some advice on this or send me the pup or link me to the correct 3.55 custom firmware no check update pup...

I've been reading lately about CEX2DEX and I'm really into it!
I'm willing to do the conversion! but I'm not sure about certain things
Do I need to remove trueblueFW and install 3.55 OFW then install CFW3.55 kemaw! then be ready to do this?
the second thing is that when I convert successfully and hopefully to DEX then upgrade to 4.20 DEX then use the downgrade file to switch between 4.20DEX and 3.55CEX will I be able to use my true blue dongle in 3.55CEX too?
